Only get 1 bar in my home with my new Metro service. Was usually 3-4 bars with my old Sprint. Unlimited plan (Metro) is good but reception in the hills of Pacifica is POOR. I regret it and now it's too late to return the phone.

My wife and son have ATT. They have to move to different parts of the house to carry a conversation. I just sit at my sofa with my Sprint phone and a smug smile never losing any volume. Pisses them off. My wife is changing to Sprint.

I get perfect reception here, but when I go to Rockaway I get zero.

All along Rockaway Beach ave. poor to no reception for at least the past 4 to 5 years.

Poor reception and often no reception at all. When a call is actually recieved it will often cut out in midsentence.

Frequently has no reception.

Have had 4 replacement phones because I drop calls consistently. I can't believe a phone can be that crappy so it must be the provider! Yes T-Mobile has great customer service but why in the hell do I end up calling them so much anyways, I'm over it! Thinking about Sprint but all in all Pacifica just has awful reception in parts due to the hills and fog... .I don't think any provider will have perfect service out here. And why is that... i dunno? Every time I look or hike up to the top of these beautiful crests and peaks out here all I find is cell phone towers, so whats the deal?!

Reception used to be great, but when the roaming agreement with T-Mobile expired last year, reception became lousy. If I do get a signal in the house, it's very weak. Going outside helps a little, but not a lot. Calls are still garbled. I've called Customer Service twice about this problem. They say it looks like the nearest AT&T tower is 2 miles away. Because of the dramatic shift in service, they're willing to let us out of our contract with no ETF, but we're reluctant to jump ship to another carrier.

AT&T has so many dead spots. Im wondering if its the network or the phone. More bars in more places? lol yea right. I was looking thru the list and I see Sprint has more good comments than any carrier. Just afraid about their customer service. I think reception is more important to me. I will try Sprint.

Never dropped a call. Perfect reception. Switched 2 years ago from AT&T because the service was so bad. We love Verizon.

Every once in awhile I get good reception, but it is inconsistent. I often have to go outside to get a call. I often get the ringing and will answer, but the other person cannot hear me, or gets every other word. It's tough living in the back of a valley for cell phone users.

Although Verizon has recently revised their website coverage map to show no dead spots in SE Pacifica (back of the valley) that is pure BS. Their coverage has NOT improved and I STILL have "No Service" at my house (and that's when I'm standing outside in my driveway, NOT inside the home). Verizon's cell towers are all located "over the hill" someplace in San Bruno and their coverage for those of us in the "shadows" of the hills in Pacifica is extremely limited. My phone only works at the top of hills (like Fassler) or when I'm on Linda Mar Blvd.or Hwy. 1. If you want service "back in the valley," find a carrier other than Verizon... their coverage sucks here.

a contract to share roaming with another carrier on a cel tower in rockaway expired in Nov. 07. ever since those of us on roberts rd and I believe up rockaway ave have been cut off from receiving any service.

i will hav bars but no network coverage so I still cant make any calls even with full service from my own house! go down th street and it will usually work... i thought AT&T had th strongest signal, sounds like false advertising to me

I have MetroPCS and it works outside in certain spots. on Linda Mar BLVD. it seems fine but once you get to the end you see the end of your 2 bars of hope. I really wish they would get service back there. but you get for what you pay I guess. the rest of pacifica seems ok along hwy 1.

Once I get to Everglades is when I start seeing bars. They claim that if I stand outside my house I should be able to make and receive calls, right! Only a one year contract so I switched over to Cingular. They're the only ones I've seen receive service back here.

I get "no service" or no bars in or around my home with my new digital Motorola phone. I cannot send or receive calls. But my wife's ancient Kyocera candy bar phone will actually ring in our kitchen! Verizon tells me it's because her old phone sends out a more powerful signal than the new digital phones. Go figure. Verizon also tells me that they are *planning* to improve coverage with a new cell site in the area, but won't say when (I'll believe it when it happens).

Poor reception in this area, however once past Skyline East signal improves to good. Coming into this area you may want to finish your call or take the chance of having your call droped.
