I've had Verizon since 2003 and never had a dropped call anywhere in Southern California. I've been with almost all the rest: t-mobile, pacbell, sprint... none comes close. All the others you have to check how many bars you have all the time, with Verizon, I've never had to check, the phone just works everywhere I am, inside and out. Too bad no iphone, then it'd be perfect.

Cell phone reception has since become unusable here with incoming calls going directly to voicemail; new battery is drained almost instantly; one other carrier is known to have significantly better coverage here and will likely be receiving my future business.

Reception is great. Once I went in to the Verizon store to get a cable, and the "service" was so laughably horrible that I swore I'd move to a new carrier as soon as possible.

Most of the time I have 3 bars but the signal can disappear momentarily without notice and the call drops, even when using the speakerphone or earbud with the phone in a stationary position. About 25% of my calls drop at this location. After a few complaints to Verizon, I was told it is a terrain issue which is not scheduled to be addressed anytime in the next two years. They said I could switch carriers without paying a penalty. The service used to be better and has deteriorated in the last six months.

Rosemead Blvd. appears to bisect two Verizon networks (6 / 9) and if you are a few blocks from a tower (e.g., lower Hastings Ranch neighborhood to the north or near Taco Bell to the south), the phone will drop a lot of calls, usually when it decides to switch between the networks. This may be an E815 problem but three people with those phones have had a lot of calls dropped in those areas. I used to have Sprint with a Samsung and Nokia and never had this problem.

I have had three other carriers then I went to Verizon. Night and day difference between the others. Verizon is by far the BEST! I am now a loyal Verizon Wireless customer.

I love Verizon for reception. Reception great all over Socal and the west! Check your bill for mistakes... happens all the time. Customer service takes good care if you find the mistakes though.
