No reception with the Tracfone here at the house. For reliable connection at the ranch, I have to go a couple blocks away. I believe Tracfone still partners with AT&T. My girlfriend's Verizon service works pretty good here. BTW, I see Cellular One / SLO Cellular has sold out to AT&T (see the Cellular One website for the announcement). Curious to know if anyone gets good reception at the Ranch / Lake with a service other than Verizon.

Originally we had Verizon but couldn't get a signal unless we climbed a ladder or drove up to the top of the hill on our property. This was unacceptable to receive business calls and messages. We switched to Cellular One several years back and could get several bars outside and a couple inside allowing us to make and receive calls. For the last couple months the service has steadily gotten worse with many dropped calls and 0-1 reception bars inside. The service works better in downtown areas but is spotty around the county and consistently drops by Franklin Ponds in Paso Robles on Creston Rd. We have never been happy with customer service and actually had better service with Verizon. Unsure whether or not it is worth staying with Cellular One and may go back to Verizon since the signal is better around the state than Cellular One.

I just got an iPhone after being with Verizon for 8 years. I have not been impressed with the service on the central coast, especially east of hwy 101 in paso. I'm considering switching back to verizon, even though they don't have great phone selections.

I haven't had any problems getting good reception with Verizon in Paso Robles. My problem is that my contract is up with them and I want to upgrade to an iphone but Verizon doesn't work with iphone. Iphone works with AT&T but I've heard that AT&T doesn't work well in Paso Robles.

Two spots I know of where my Cingular service dies: Near Target, and on Golden Hill Rd.somewhere between Creston and Union Rd. Other than that, coverage is flawless.

I switched from Cingular to Verizon, with better signal quality and less dropped calls. I find that I get better signal in more places than what I was getting with Cingular.

Can't get cell service at house. Have to travel 1 / 2 mile to get some service, but very irregular. Been happy with Verizon in past but am frustrated that this whole area is generally useless to the cellular user.
