Reception here is horrible. Internet went all way down to edge.

I had more reception before AT&T bout cingular. Now I get v.m. but no missed calls, always drops calls or can't make calls. Some times all you can hear is a ecko.

Although the phone shows 3-5 bars there is no coverage. It's like a hole in Verizons service area. Very strange. Have to forward my cell number to the my house so I don't miss any calls.

In the hills Sprint is not very good. Down in the "flats" it is much better.

I don't get reception in the west area of Bay Point. Other areas of the East Bay are pretty good though.

This is at home up in the hills. It works well once you go down to Leeland.

My Cingular phone never drops anywhere in Pittsburg. I see other people saying they always drop, but I have never lost a call in 6 years. My work phone, however (Verizon) drops everywhere.

I have this carrier for work and it drops in 3 places between the top of the hill on Hwy. 4 and the intersection of Bailey and Leland. I HATE VERIZON, thank God it's a work phone and I don't pay or I'd cancel that crap!

Very spotty coverage and signal strength constantly goes up and down. Drops and garbles calls.

WARNING: DO NOT UPDATE YOUR PRL (*228 on your phone) SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU WANT TO SALVAGE WHAT LITTLE RECEPTION YOU HAVE IN THE 94565 AREA. I can only make calls using the extended network on my phone (turns out Verizon "borrows" Sprint's network for coverage in this area). However, ever since I updated my PRL somewhere else (in SF, to be exact), which supposedly improves the roaming coverage list, I've had trouble making calls in my area.

CINGULAR SUCKS!! I have to continually redial to even be able to place a call and this is not just my phone it is also my husbands, daughters, daughter's boyfriends and her best friends phones. ALL ARE CINGULAR! The only thing that we continually receive is a system busy notice.

Very poor reception, you could make calls but theres a 75% chance you'll get it dropped. Sometimes you could get 5 bars but you can't connect. Text messages work half of the time.

Reception is perfect in this area with Sprint. Once you go up the hill to the houses, you'll get at least 3 bars and you'll rarely drop any calls.

Always get 5 bars around this area with Cingular. I can talk for hours and get perfect calls. The least you can get is 4 bars in the housing area.

Why is it you can't get reception in deserted areas?
