Been very disappointed with ATT's coverage in Rancho Palos Verdes. I get no coverage at home but sometimes I get 1 bar which is just as bad if you start a call.

ATT bad all around this area and when it is momentarily good, wait a second and it'll drop you. Not good at all until you get off the Hill

Feb 6,2008 - Last 3 years reception was broken but doable, stopped altogether last week. After many minutes with AT&T's nice customer and tech service people. I was informed AT&T used to share towers with TMobile in PV, but around Jan 24th, they decided to go solo. The plan is to sacrifice some customers while improving the service for others(! - novel concept in customer care), no notification, nothing. They will let people off contracts, per instructions read to me over the phone. No information regarding future service available. Suggestions, let's find a better carrier for this area and let's all give him our business. Do most of you suggest Sprint?

Thanks for the info. Thinking about switching to Sprint, seems to have good service in the area. Hate to leave couple thousand ATT rollover minutes on the table

I was getting one to 3 bars of service for the past year. As soon as I renewed my contract in Dec 2007, my service went to 0 bars. This is so annoying because I had service and as of mid Jan 2008 I have no service. T-Mobile has service. I thought AT&T and T-Mobile had cell tower sharing. I guess not any more in my area. Very annoying.

My Cingular service is spotty at best. I either can't connect or if I do, I will soon drop the call. We also have a Verizon cell phone... which is not a bit better! What works on the hill?

Always drops calls when driving past Green Hills Memorial Park. Same on Palos Verdes Dr.west bound toward Crenshaw

I get o.k. reception at Hesse Park or my house. Horrible reception at Ridgecrest and many times have 5 bars but can't make a call... ! Ready to switch carriers when contract expires in October.

I get no reception at my house and I am right at the foot of the hill. The only time I get any decent reception is when I go out to near Torrance or San Pedro. For people who live on or around the hill, Cingular is not the best choice.
