Until February 2012 I got 3 bars of 5; since April 0 bars. Sprint repair shop at Haw&Torr found no problem with my phone (which is not rooted, only Sprint-okayed OS updates). After an hour escalating my request, Sprint tech told me that a cell tower at Hawthorne and Granvia Altamira was down and expected repaired soon. Since I'm away for a few weeks, could someone near there (on the Southern slope of Whitestone Rd.or on the level part of Spring Creek or on the Westernmost block of Flambeau) let me know if the signal returned to normal? Sprint fixed this notorious digital dead zone about 6+ months ago.

Absolutely GREAT! I had Verizon before, and Spring blows Verizon out of the water. Seriously, if you live near Peninsula high school, get Sprint. I can actually call and text now, which I never did with Verizon!

Varies from five to nothing all over the East side of the hill. Reception goes from nothing in driveway to four bars inside the house, in certain places.

Indoors, reception can vary from full 5 bars sweeping to 1 or 2 sometime none. But this new phone definitely is much better than my previous Samsung A680 because it is usable. I also have the free roaming feature to test out the Verizon service and Sprint seems to have a stronger signal most of the time in PV.

To the person who was asking about Rancho Palos Verdes, Sprint works good there. To the person with the Samsung SPH-N400 Sprint phone: Get a new phone. That's very likely you're problem right there. That phone is very old and technology has improved since then. Try a new Sanyo or Motorola this time and I bet you'll see a big difference.

We have used Sprint service now for over 4 years, and up until recently, we have had excellent reception. Today, September 17th, 2007, for example was the worst day yet. We've had no service for the entire day. We can't understand what has happened and are wondering if anyone else has had the same experience.

I used to get very good reception with Sprint at my home. But, in the last month I am constantly dropping calls in the afternoon. It has definitely gotten much worse.

Generally solid reception all around PV Dr.from San Pedro through PV Estates with exception of a couple of dead spots between Lunada Bay and Malaga Cove. Sprint much better than Verizon in Abalone Cove area; Cingular and T-Mobile very spotty there. Verizon better in northern PVE area.

I have an ancient Sanyo phone and and always get good service 4-5 bars with Sprint on most of the Peninsula. The few spots I don't are VERY predictable.

I'm the only person at my work who ever has cell reception, and mine is perfect with Sprint.
