AT&T show this as good in marketing material, but their tech support say it is moderate. All calls are bad, dropped or no service at all.

I just go the new iphone and am really dissapointed that AT&T does not have any reception at my house. I spent a lot of money for something that I cannot use.

Verizon says we (in this area) are smack in the middle of about six towers. All have semi-strong signals that would provide crystal clear connections... HOWEVER, being in this hole, the phone will constantly search for the strongest signal. This causes a drop in sound every time it switches from tower to tower. They offered me $100 off the mobile extender or a wave the early termination fee.

Since the new AT&T cell tower was placed west of Mary Lake subdivision my reception has greatly improved from 2 to 3 bars to 4 to 5 bars inside my home. I have sent several requests to AT&T to upgrade their service in this area and it finally happened. I am even thinking about giving up my land line.

One or two bars then most of the time calls just drop, very annoying. I wish they (T-MOBILE) manage to have more cell towers within this area. Better reception at the shopping centers downtown, but then again I do not live where we shop. This week I'm switching to Verizon wireless. My Job communication and reaching connections is very important.

I have trouble recieving ans making calls from my home in this area of Redding. Many of my cell calls go to voice mail and I retrieve the call after driving a ways down Placer towards downtown Redding. I am considering giving up my service after 12 years with AT&T due to this continuing problem. AT&T needs to put another tower in our area to service the growing needs of the west side of towm.

I've been with T-Mobile for many years. Used to be good but now easily 90% of my calls fail or don't go through (and texts). This last year has been ridiculous! Tried switching phones and customer service - nothing works. I think I was the only one of a couple hundred people at a football game at West Valley with NO service. Nothing until you got a few blocks toward I-5. Switching (maybe to Verizon) next week!

My Samsung got 1 or 2 bars and my Razr V3xx now gets 4 bars. If there are no new cell towers for AT&T uin the past 3 years then the better reception is due to the phone.

Drops calls all the time. this company has been nothing but trouble. we have tried to work with their costumer service team (good luck getting a real person on the phone.) They say they have the fewest dropped calls, 1st of all the calls can't be dropped if they never connect.

Totally sucks. But it seems others are not any better. Used to be good TDMA with original ATT but Cingular / Att merger seemed to drop towers. I don't think reception will ever improve in the Redding area. The few carriers left have deals to just split the market between them. Where is our government oversight when we need it?
