Since the new AT&T cell tower was placed west of Mary Lake subdivision my reception has greatly improved from 2 to 3 bars to 4 to 5 bars inside my home. I have sent several requests to AT&T to upgrade their service in this area and it finally happened. I am even thinking about giving up my land line.

I have trouble recieving ans making calls from my home in this area of Redding. Many of my cell calls go to voice mail and I retrieve the call after driving a ways down Placer towards downtown Redding. I am considering giving up my service after 12 years with AT&T due to this continuing problem. AT&T needs to put another tower in our area to service the growing needs of the west side of towm.

I've been with T-Mobile for many years. Used to be good but now easily 90% of my calls fail or don't go through (and texts). This last year has been ridiculous! Tried switching phones and customer service - nothing works. I think I was the only one of a couple hundred people at a football game at West Valley with NO service. Nothing until you got a few blocks toward I-5. Switching (maybe to Verizon) next week!

My Samsung got 1 or 2 bars and my Razr V3xx now gets 4 bars. If there are no new cell towers for AT&T uin the past 3 years then the better reception is due to the phone.

Drops calls all the time. this company has been nothing but trouble. we have tried to work with their costumer service team (good luck getting a real person on the phone.) They say they have the fewest dropped calls, 1st of all the calls can't be dropped if they never connect.

I had Sprint and I was having drop calls every time. It was funny it will ring twice and then drop. All my friends in Redding, CA told me that Verizon is best here. I went and bought 3 Motorola Razor V3m phones. The reception seems a bit better but you can not make out what the other party is saying. Verizon just installed a tower about a mile from my house as they mentioned, still VERY VERY POOR reception. Looking for better service and phones.

I live near Mary Lake and have poor reception using Verizon Wireless. I have blackouts on Lakeside coming up from Buenaventura and several dead spots in my home and poor reception at best. The first told me it was because of the old phone I was using, which was only 1 1 / 2 years old, so I switched to a new phone which the recommended LG ux4500... no change with reception--everything is stil the same. In addition during the French Gulch and Jones Valley fires this past summer, I would get no service at all at times... my phone wouldn't even ring. They had no explanation for that either--they said it was phone! What a joke.

AT&T Wireless has terrible reception in the ENTIRE Redding, CA area. As much as I hate to say it, your best bet up here is to buy a Verizon phone. Sprint has terrible messaging features.
Thanks
