Any phone has to be sitting on a window to get some reception. As soon as you pick it up, it'll go dead.

Terrible Reception. No bars inside my workplace. That's where I need it. Went back to TDMA with no problems. Contract up in May with AT&T, switching to Verizon. Yeah, GSM might take a while to get the bugs out. Trouble is, my money's good.... why isn't the service?

Excellent Reception in most areas. I use a Panasonic Versio, which works great. TDMA is being phased out by AT&T (Now cingular), because it is "old technology". Cingular / AT&T GSM does not have as much coverage yet, according to a salesmen at the San Bernardino AT&T store (Near san bernardino auto center).

phone oscillates between 0 and 1 bar at home; sometimes goes straight to voice mail, other times it rings and then immediately drops the call as soon as it's answered. Coverage poor throughout south Redlands, near (not in) the hills.

98% of calls are dropped, or so "cut out" can't understand what anyone says on other line. hardly any bars showing or get no signal sign. Also get "leaving service area / entering service area" signs. I'm over 50 miles from home, so God forbid there be an emergency and someone has to call me down here! Never had problems with Verizon! stuck with this stupid service for another year!
