There is absolutely no reception inside the apartment. I need to go to the street to make call.

I go up the block to Ringe and there is service. On Grant and slauson, there is full bars. But where I am, no bars inside, yet it will ring. They say there are towers around me. I just can't get a strong signal in my area.

Our home is literally in a hole - it's the lowest spot in the neighborhood surrounded by low hills. Verizon is the only carrier we've found with reliable service at the house. It was comical watching a contractor running up the block each time he received a call on his iPhone! That said, even Verizon service is only fair but Droid X reception is much better than that of my previous LG Dare.

Usually 4-5 throughout the house. All floors. It was only 1-2 when I first got it a couple of years ago. But then one day they put in a new tower and it shot to 4-5 overnight! It's the only thing keeping me from an iPhone.

I get 3-5 bars all over the inside of the house, usually 4-5 bars can't complain. I can easily make or received calls inside with this strong reception.

Reception pops in and out. I can sit in one place and talk for three minutes, then lose reception and not be able to call again. Even worse than Prospect between Knob Hill and PCH where I never get a drop out.

In 4 years I have gone through At&t, Cingular, T-Mobile, Sprint and now Verizon. All have been a pain in the butt with the exception of Verizon. VZW has been consistently the best throughout South Bay. It is the only one that has worked on any part of the beach. Although I am skeptical about how long the good reception will last. At&T was great until it became Cingular.

Phone works at most part of the building unless it's too far away from windows.

i get excellent coverage anywhere in the house, downstairs or upstairs. people with T-Mobile who have visited my house only gets service on certain spots upstairs.

Verizon does very well in this area. Very few dropped calls and reasonable service in my floor level condo in Brookside Village.

Although my phone shows 3 bars of reception, I don't get ANY at all. Most of the time I cannot get a signal out. When I do get a signal out, it gets dropped after less than a minute. When people call, they either get a busy signal (even though I'm not on the phone) or it goes straight to voicemail. My phone doesn't even ring. Whenever I come home, my calls are dropped right when I turn onto Esplanade by the beach.

Phone sometimes works outside, inside the house it may not even ring and keeps switching to analog. Many dropped calls. I opened several trouble cases with Verizon and they can't seem to fix the problem. I'm riding out my contract for a few more months and then making a switch.
