Everywhere in Riverside works great on my V710 using VZW. However, the place where I live, near Vanburen and Washington just plain sucks! Im sort of out near a "currently expanding" area on the outskirts of Riverside known as Woodcrest. I get max reception 2 miles down the road, but not in my neighborhood! Ive been hoping for a new tower nearby...

I'm using the T-Mobile prepaid service, so I can't roam off T-mobile's network. I get between 3 and 7 bars (out of 7) inside my apartment. (It inexplicably fluctuates.) While driving around Riverside / Moreno Valley, I haven't noticed the bars dipping below 4 which is sufficient for an understandable coversation, but in most areas, I'm at 6 or 7 bars. Coverage does drop inside buildings though. I drive to my parents frequently who live in the Phelan / Wrightwood area (by the Mountain High ski resort). I get great coverage on the 215 and 15 on the way there. Once I exit onto the 138 coverage is spotty or dead until I hit the 2. If I'm heading to Wrightwood on the 2 there are some completely dead spots until I hit Wrightwood where I get 5-7 bars. If I keep going on the 138 towards Phelan I get a very decent 5-7 bars. Even at my parents house which is pretty far off the 138 (on a dirt road that no one should have to drive) I get 5 bars. Coverage in Phelan and Victorville is also right around 5-7 bars. I gotta say I'm elated by the metro coverage and pretty darn pleased with the rural coverage for the price I'm paying. Tack on the free limited T-zones and text messaging that's free to receive and costs what amounts to 2.5 cents to send and I'm as happy as a pig eating what happy pigs eat. At any rate, it's way better than the coverage for my AT&T / Cingular TDMA phone, roaming or no.

The reception along Van Buren between the 215 freeway and the 60 freeway is not good. Another major artery street and a booming area of growth that Cingular needs to take care of this soon. I get dropped calls all over Riverside it's starting to make me think about canceling my contract.

This area really sucks. Starting near the Chicago / Central / Allessandro intersection there is practically no service here and the little that there is it's so choppy that it's not worth talking until you get within a couple miles of the 215 freeway. This is probably the newest major artery street in Riverside and you would think that Cingular would jump on this area with a tower or three. I just hope that nothing happens to me on this street while driving because I'll need a smoke signal to call out.

Very good in general, only there's a specific spot on 60 several miles west of the junction to 15 where my call always gets dropped.

I barely get any a single bar when I'm inside the house, but once I step outside of the house, then I will get full bars.

I it really wierd, reception in this area is horrible. I can be on the phone talking with really good reception, but once I hit this area it starts getting really poor. Then once I pull into my driveway, my call drops. I really don't understand why it's this area in Riverside.

Since the Cingular / AT&T merge, I have had great reception inside and outside of my apartment as well as UCR campus. I used to get dropped calls inside Spieth Hall, but now no longer. My friend with T-Mobile stopped by my apartment last week and dropped my call. Not sure how reception compares with Verizon.
