It should have been a sign when our Uverse guy had to go out to the street to get any sort of reception to make a call. Many calls and complaints to AT&T about the lack of service / coverage in our neighbor hood, was met with, "our map shows you have excellent coverage in your area". Grrr... They finally gave us a microcell, which we hoped would help, and it did for about 5 minutes. Our phones always seemed to get dropped from the microcell and I got tired of trying to figure out why. Our contract just ran out, so we decided to switch to Sprint. To our pleasant surprise, we have 5 bars all through our house. Sayanora AT&T, have fun losing customers due to your poor reception, dropped calls and horrible customer service.

Just switched from AT&T to Sprint. With AT&T we had essentially no reception in and around our home. The coverage was horrible and even when we received the free microcell, it gave us false hope. The Microcell was spotty and more often then not, our cell phones would not see or connect to the microcell. We finally switched to Sprint recently and I am overwhelmed with joy at my 5 bar reception in my house. Sprint has much cheaper / better value plans and I am so excited to finally be able to make and receive calls from my house. Hello Sprint! Good Riddance AT&T!

Our receptions depends on where we are in the house. We usually have to stand outside by our driveway to finish a call. With the winter coming, this will suck.

AT&T service anywhere near or around Lincoln / Roseville / Rocklin is absolutely horrible. I wish they would put in a new tower. It's no wonder why all my friends have Verizon. There service is 100 times better here.

I have 1 bar if i'm lucky, most of the time I see NO bars or a red X meaning I have no signal whatsoever. Calls are dropped every time i'm on my phone. If I am able to make a call, the reception is crackly, people have a hard time hearing me because of the lack of signal. It's horrible! My internet reception isn't much better, I have to walk around the house or outside waiting for the send / receive arrows to appear and hold my breath hoping my page will load. All in all, Rocklin is horrible for cell phone reception... through T-Mobile at least. I had no problem with T-Mobile before I moved FROM Roseville to Rocklin.

Live on top of a ridge overlooking Park Dr.and Verizon is the PITTS! Updated firmware, reprogramed phone and roaming and still stinks. Get 5 bars one minute and drps to nothing the next and back to 5 bars, at which point the call is already lost. Doesn't seem to matter if I'm inside or outside. My roommate has a T- Mobile Dash and has no problem what so ever getting and keeping 5 bars. Whats up Verizion???

3-5 bars inside a concrete building; great reception unless I head north into 12 Bridges (down to 1 bar), or East of Rocklin (great along the freeway, zip off of it in the neighborhoods)

Every time I go through here the call will go bad, drop and then hit me with a 5 bar. Updated the roaming 10-20 times but it does not help. I also live above Park. I get 3 different networks in the house but none work. Have to sit on the stairs to talk, usually lasts 2-3 minutes before it drops. Son has T-Mobile with the RAZR. It is awesome everywhere. Phone is better than some land lines.

Severe packet loss, bad connections. Using an old Motorola phone with an extendable antenna, the reception is a little better. New phones have shorter antennas and that definitely affects coverage with Verizon (and probably every other carrier)

Sprint has the worst coverage up the hill at Sierra College Blvd and from Rocklin to Auburn - expect many dropped calls and high prices for phone service that is substandard. On a positive note, I have heard from Sprint that the newer Samsung phones have a better signal. However, there seems to be little technical data to support this claim.

It is hard to see the reception bar dropping below 5. Even indoors, i get a full reception. From sacramento to auburn, i get a very good reception and I have no complaint whatsoever.
I used to have AT&T TDMA, and i prefer Verizon much more than AT&T. CDMA has much better call quality, and less dropped calls.
