I get no reception in my apartment. I can't even count the number of time I have had no reception in downtown Sacramento. I suspect all the carriers sucks just the same, so I don't do anything, but come on. Outside downtown Sacramento I can get no signal? How pathetic? Is it the phone, perhaps. I have a work phone with AT&T that is an old piece that gets full signal everywhere. I buy a fancy "smart" phone and get no reception anywhere. Is it because Sprint doesn't want me to use they services or are they sending me a message to go to another carrier?? Very frustrating.

I have no problems with Sprint. I have signal damn near everywhere, along with data. On 3G I average 400kbps and on 4G I average 4.6mbps, topping out at 7.2mbps. I used to have Verizon, with them I had Droid1. I had so many deadzones and dropped calls / data that I thought it was the phone, so I switched from Droid1 to Droid Incredible. Same problem, different phone. With Sprint, call quality is superb, as is data, and you can't beat the price.

Never have a problem with reception at home or at work. I am one of the few that has no problems connecting at the office. Sprint has been great.

I moved to this neighborhood in November. My Sprint phone only works in my driveway and even then poorly. My phone only works now with the ear bud in. My two year contract with Sprint has six more months to go--Sprint is not about to let me out of it. I spent nearly an hour with Sprint "Customer Care" about the broken phone and the poor service. They flat out don't care and characterize one bar as strong service!

Constantly lost reception. Extremely unreliable. Sprint PCS did not work well in the home, had to go outside to make calls. Calls would go straight to voicemail. Often would try to call cell phone from landline and half the time cell phone wouldn't ring.

Reception is fair (1-2 bars out of four) inside my house but sometimes drops calls outside my house - on the side of my house facing the nearest Sprint tower. Go figure. Reception is better (3-4 bars) in my office in a steel frame building in downtown Sacramento, 1.5 miles north of my home, even though it is also further from the nearest Sprint tower. Again, go figure.

Dropped signals in my South Natomas neighborhood. Same situation downtown where I work (3rd and N Sts, ZIP 95814) -- I've inadvertently picked up excess roaming charges when the phones have switched to analog. It's Sprint -- not the phones -- same situation previously with a Motorola and a Qualcom,

Sprint has had the good coverage in Sacramento compared to other providers. I was with Cingular until early 2003, and tried AT&T GSM in early 2003 also. Neither had anywhere close to the reception coverage that Sprint had in 2003, with the coverage being comparable to Verizon in this market. With Cingular, I couldn't make or recieve a call in my apartment or at work (Stockton and Y Street), making the phone and service less than useful. I recommend Sprint to my friends in Sacramento and in San Francisco. Of note, the phone does make a significant difference in reception, please read the reviews before buying.

Roughly 75% of my calls are dropped. No reception in my house. Whenever on the freeway throughout the state incoming calls aways go to voicemail and never ring on the phone.
