I have had awful reception with my cell phone. I have calls that contantly drop off. I've called Verizon several times to no avail. I'm now trying to use a new T-Mobile Nokia cell phone during this next 30 day trial period. There is only 2 bars on the phone, just as with the Verizon phone. No drop off yet.. but too soon to tell. My sister's Metro PC cell phone is working pretty well in this same area around Marconi Ave. Fair Oaks Blve. Walnut Ave. It seems that one must do a word of mouth search for model and area involved with the various cell phones. There seems to be too many variables. Digital vs. analog.. and B.S!.
we have 2 of these phones have never lost call or signal in or out of our house have had t mobile since9 / 05 service has been beyond what we had hoped for
Cingular sucks in this region. Every time you try a call - it fails the first time. If you are lucky enough, it connects the second time. Usually, you have be patient for a third try. After you get connected, you've got to shout into the phone like you are talking to some one on Jupiter or Pluto on old simplex, co-axial networks. Finally, all your hard work pays off, and you will understand how frustrating it is to ask your friend to repeat what he said, everytime. I'm not feeling the least pain to break this contract and jump to a new carrier. I'm with this carrier since 3 yrs, lived around Washington DC, recently moved to Sacramento CA. Carrier and coverage was never a problem in all these 3 yrs, but now - the biggest pain.
The other review from this zipcode is not consistent with the whole area. The area around Kieffer (Albertsons) is abismal, but the rest of the Rosemont area is fair.
