I've always had poor coverage with T-Mobile in North Natomas. I recently got a Motorola V180. The T-Mobile with the V180 is worse than ever. Every call is dropped. A horrible phone and a pretty bad carrier
after a year with T-mobile, I'm opting out of the contract. could never get any reception in my own house. The customer service technician admits coverage is rated "fair" and there are no plans to put an additional tower in the area.
Constantly lost reception. Extremely unreliable. Sprint PCS did not work well in the home, had to go outside to make calls. Calls would go straight to voicemail. Often would try to call cell phone from landline and half the time cell phone wouldn't ring.
Four bars in my house, and good reception (2-3 bars) just about everywhere I've ever been in Sacramento. Switched off of Cingular two years ago because two different phone models couldn't make or receive calls inside my house, but had to go outside to get 1 or 2 bars if I was lucky. My mother still has cingular, and the AT&T merger hasn't done anything for us.
We used to get a strong signal on both our phones, indoors and outdoors until one day in the fall of 2003. (locked in a contract until July 2005) Then began the very poor reception, 1 bar at best (if we got a bar at all), and floating between digital and analog constantly, and 95% of incoming and outgoing calls are dropped at least once. We called Verizon several times about the issue, and got a run around. I finally got to a level 2 tech (who was great!) and she set up a service ticket for the local tower, to see if there was something wrong with it, but a week later I got a call from a salesperson stating that the service was never performed, and the ticket was closed without review. The salesperson stated that I should buy a new phone, because it's obvious that my phone was broken. I explained to the salesperson that both phones had the issue, outdoors and in, when we used to get great reception and no dropped calls, but all she did was continue to try and sell me a phone instead of investigating the issue. Now that our contracts have expired, I wll not be staying with Verizon. Not only because of the poor service, but for the poor reception in this area. We have tried 4 different phones, and they all had the same poor reception here.
well the Nokia 6255 is a very good phone but sometimes m reception isnt the greatest in my area. the company is metro PCS they are a good company its $40 a month for unlimited minutes but sometimes I cant take advantage of it cause were I live in elk grove there is very little reception but were I work the reception is great I would always choose metro PCS over any other company cause of the rates but sometimes I wish they would put more towers in elk grove.
Reception is fair (1-2 bars out of four) inside my house but sometimes drops calls outside my house - on the side of my house facing the nearest Sprint tower. Go figure. Reception is better (3-4 bars) in my office in a steel frame building in downtown Sacramento, 1.5 miles north of my home, even though it is also further from the nearest Sprint tower. Again, go figure.
