Great coverage (3-4 bars) if I'm standing in my driveway or out in the street. Coverage gets worse as I get closer to my house and sometimes no coverage indoors. Cingular has cool plans but pisses me off when I can't use my phone in my own room. Considering switching to either T-Mobile or Verizon but doing more research first.

Poor service. Spotty reception during calls. Calls tend to get lost in space and voicemail alert comes anywhere from 15 to 30 mins after being placed. I just purchased a new GSM phone and will update later after I try it.

Varies inside the house, but seldom is reception good. Sometimes reception is okay outside the house. Good reception several blocks to the east of my house.

Reception is entirely poor on an always basis. Reception bars are a joke, they occasionally show 3 but instantly disappear. 3G is non existent in my building. I have to go outside and walk a half block to even hope for reception. I'd comment negatively further except it's mostly already been said. AT&T reception completely sucks. Several in our office building have bitten the bullet, changed over to Verizon and have NO issues whatsoever. Come on, AT&T - get your very well paid engineers to fix this. It's rediculous.

Have ATT. Sometimes calls do not connect. Get at best 2 bars inside building although that fluctuates and sometimes I look like I'm performing some sort of voodoo ritual to get to the exact nexus where the signal will be strongest. Sometimes I get three bars outside the building but that is rare. I'm in an industrial complex area so you'd think they would have towers up the wazoo, but no they don't. Oh, and don't even think of watching video or getting fast video downloads; they are impossible. I get good reception at home finally; live in Carmichael. Contract is up in October and I'll change carriers then, but only after a lot of research. They can read license plates from twenty thousand miles out in space but they can't give us good cell phone technology. Cell phones are just another money sucking super black hole.

What service? Pay these guys hard earned money for "SERVICE" that is non-existent. Time to wake up AT&T and deal with your poor performance.

AT&T reception sucks sooooo bad it makes me not even want the iphone anymore. Dropped calls left and right. And the bars on the phone are lies that randomly just go up and down. I have had full bars with 3G service may times while calling a land line and it still has bad reception and cuts out. I'm about to just get a ipod touch for the apps and go back to Verizon! Even Metro PCS has better service than AT&T... AT&T you suck ass!

Don't you just love being in a major city, where you figure you'll have cell reception because there will be lots of towers without pesky hills getting in the way? Then don't get AT&T and have the audacity to drive downtown on L and expect to not drop your calls. Every major city I've ever spent time in gets crummy service with AT&T, Sacramento is no exception.
