Poor reception at my house, which is just one house below the peak of a hill. If I walk one house up to the top of the hill, I'll get several bars of reception. My friends have had better luck with Verizon at my house, which while weak, still has reception.

Very bad reception at my house in the canyon. Bummer I can't often use my own cell phone at home.

Only 1 bar (sometimes 0 bars) of reception in my building. When I am fortunate enough to have a call go through, it is almost always guaranteed to be dropped. Verizon claims there is a tower less than 50 yards away and can't explain the lack of reception (they say it is probably a 'line of sight' issue but can't be certain). All of my friends with Verizon have the same problem in the building (which leads me to believe its not my handset). Interestingly Cingular customers get great service in this area... .go figure!

5 bars of reception but I get a 15 second audio glitch every minute or two that makes the caller at the other end sound like they are at the end of a long coiled metal tube. Makes the person on the other end completely unintelligible. People on the other end of the call have identified similar sounding things. This might be my phone equipment. I've gotten a replacement phone (with no change in call quality) and am going to swap out my SIM card today. Anyone else with such a problem? I don't have this issue in other areas of San Diego or in other cities. Problems started around 2006 / 02 / 01 and persist in this area.

Can make a call without dropping only by standing in the middle of the street. Doesn't work at all in the house. My Sprint phone is slightly better. The consensus on the block is that Verizon is the only carrier that works acceptably.

Dead spot. You lose reception as you approach it, and gain it as you leave. Completely dead. Been that way ever since I've been on Cingular.

Coverage is fine on east side of building, but drops off as you move into the building. Coverage inside the complex is spotty and tends to drop. Not surprising with all those 3-story steel frame buildings.

A lot of dropped calls, poor reception, and just not even worth being on the phone in the 92130 area. I had much better reception in the same area with my Verizon phone.

Im the only one who gets reception (and good too) at my apartment. My friends with Cingular, ATT, Sprint and TMobile get nothing when they come over! haha.
