Just moved to this area, in general signal comes and goes and when I have a stable signal its usually one or two bars. Calls drop regularly while making the call or during the call... I do not recommend and I am thinking of changing carriers...

AT&T has worst reception possible, will have 1-2 bars then will constantly drop to no service. 3g service vertually non existant.

I frequently go hours at a time with no service whatsoever. Occasionally it'll go up to one bar and then back to nothing. Texts often disappear completely or show up hours later. Has caused me more relationship problems than anything, ever. Very grateful that my plan is about to expire. Freedom is in sight!

Thorn / 3rd, San Diego, CA 92103 Tue Aug 17, 2010

Probably the worst coverage I have ever had with any cell phone company. And it always been about 3 to 3.5(at best). But now I been getting dropped calls / texts within my apartment, and delayed messaging and phone calls. I have better luck making calls outdoors, but no guarantee. It happened pretty much in the beginning of August 2010. AT and T finally told me that indeed it is a Tower that has been having issues for over a week. My contract ends this month, and I might be jumping ship, if coverage does not improve.

In my home I regularly drop calls. I will talk outside if its important. But even outside my home reception needs improvment. AT&T is better in my area. I left AT&T and Apple but see that no network is perfect.

Terrible, broken up calls in Normal Heights. Usually 1 bar, occasionally a brief 2 or three bar moment. Much worse than anticipated - a total let down. Likely will return phone in the 30 day period.

Switched from Sprint to Verizon, reception is much worse so far. Rarely dropped calls before, now it is regular occurrence. Problem is wide fluctuating signal - sometimes -82dB sometimes -110dB. (0 to 4 bars) Hope it improves soon!

Terrible, random reception in my apartment and throughout San Diego. And the customer service is maybe the worst I have ever had from any company.

No 3G coverage in Normal Heights! Have to switch my network connection to EDGE because my Iphone drains faster when it keeps looking for 3G connectivity.

Just moved here from Carmel Mountain Ranch where I had no problems at all. Now, NO cell phone service at all in my new house with my iPhone, spoty at best service with my wifes LG phone. Called AT&T to let them know and they told me they would check it out. Not very excited about there answer or service because they also let me know that I wouldn't hear back from them either. Had to keep my landline becuase this phone doesn't work at all... .

Today I learned that AT&T only has one "data" tower serving this zip code. AT&T told me so. They also told me it isn't working right now, and that's why I can't use the data features - ALL the data features - on my phone. They don't know when it will be fixed. Guess it's time to move on - AT&T - You're FIRED!

Frequent dropped calls, only 1 bar, sometimes my voice echoes back into the phone, it really stinks! Another customer on Jackdaw has the same problem. They need to add more towers. They are being ridiculous! I LOVE my iPhone and am really bummed that the recpetion is so poor.
