Worst reception ever... EVER, ever! Can't use the phone at all around that area.

My reception immediately drops from 3G to Edge at this intersection and calls usually drop. I typically get good 3G coverage in that area, except right around that intersection.

Great Reception on Adams near the 15. Always have great signal and also constantly Use my aircard to go on the internet with a very fast connection. Perfect

since Alltel merged with Verizon my coverage has been drastically worse.

Terrible AT&T reception throughout Normal Heights (92116). Absolutely terrible. AT&T should be paying me.

Reception terrible here with AT&T; cannot comment on other carriers. Actually returned my phone to them and terminated the contract because the reception was so poor. Does not matter if you go outside the house. I have driven all over the Liberty Station area and there is just no reception here. The worst part of all is that the local (Rosecrans St. near the big post office) store is lying to customers and telling them that there are new nodes going into the area which will be activated soon- they are always 'delayed' and the date of their activation always pushed back. LIARS!

More bars in more places? I beg to differ. My reception bounces up and down with every call within my apartment. I am definately going to switch carriers. Every call I make / receive, I have about a 25% chance of losing the call. I am guaranteed that part of each conversation will not be heard. Very frustrating. I feel like I am flushing $$$ down the drain with each AT&T bill I receive. Not for long!

In Carmel Valley off the 56 freeway on Carmel Canyon Rd. there is no service. I drop calls constantly and service never regains. Verizon was the best, never any dropped calls

Came here from Washngton State with average reception. As soon as I hit SD reception has been a challenge everywhere.

Poor reception around Farmingdale and Scripps Ranch Blvd. The signal will pick back up at the bottom of the hill close to the 15 fwy. Overall, Verizon has been great... much better than Sprint. Works great in La Jolla and Rancho Santa Fe. I have gotten dropped calls around Miramar base.

I've never had a problem with my reception, however in the Calle Cristobol area if you are stranded at 4 o'clock AM and try to call for help... you're screwed might as well knock on someones door then try to make a call.

I cannot place or receive calls from home. I must always go outside in order to have enough signal to make a call. Very annoying to have such a great device and not be able to talk.

Horrible reception in Bay Park. Thought it was the phone, so traded it in... still nothing. Dropped calls OUTSIDE the house. Changed to Verizon and had no problem. Tech at AT&T said that a leased cell tower site was dropped in the area about a year ago... just about when I lost signal. D-OH! Won't go back... even for an iPhone.

Excellent cell phone reception on our small hand held cell phone. Average to fair reception on the Treo PDA Smart Phone. I was told the PDA are trying to do too much and for that reason the cell reception on some of the models is not so great. Simpler phone better reception. Excellent customer service from Verizon. Decent reception when traveling to Imperial, Orange, Riverside and LA County.

Terrible reception with ATT at Adams and Ohio in Normal Heights; getting worse since last summer. I'm considering switching to Verizon to see if things improve.

My cell service continues to deteriorate to the point where now I can not make a call in my house. I use to be able to send text messages, which I can no longer do either. Not sure what to do. Unfortunately, this isn't limited to Verizon. Friends have different providers and none of them work well if at all. SO frustrating!

on any given day I can have 4 sometimes 5 bars to no service. hence my choosing 3 as the average.however the # of bars has no correlation to my being able to talk on my phone in my apt, I can't even take calls in my own home because I get "call failed" everytime 100% call failure. AT&T is the absolute worst my experience with their customer service makes me ill to reflect upon and has been such that one could write a book on how poor i've been treated. they suck.rant over!

For the past 3 days my reception dropped from 2 stars to zero. AT&T Customer Service claimed they are aligning a local cell tower and the problem would resolve in 24 hours. But thus far, no improvement. My neighbor with an iPhone is having the same problem. I have to drive a mile or two to make a call and check VM.
