I'm on my second, brand new Galaxy S4 and I get between 0.1 - and 1.5 mbps in downtown San Francisco, the supposed tech capitol of the world. Give me a break! I went to the retail store on Pine St.to run a speed test on a floor model so I could determine if it was my phone or if it was the signal and the employees told me that it wasn't worth my walk there as they have a repeater in the store because the 4G is so bad. That was all the information I needed. I'm bummed out I sent my orgiginal S4 back and wasted time setting up a new phone. I agree with the other poster's, this is unacceptable for the price. Too bad I am locked into a contract. Sometimes my "4G" is slower than old school dial up... sweet Big Red. Haven't I bent over enough for you? At very least your signal could be usable if your going to screw us in every other way (no more unlimited, $30 upgrade fee on top of phone cost, refurbished phones to replace factory faulty products, etc... )

Wow so much to say. First if all my phone (iphone 5) states I have 5 bars and LTE service yet trying to pull up a webpages or my bank app times 90% of the time. On the off occasion that I can hit a webpage / app like speed test it reports a DL speed of ~90kB... Really Verizon 4G LTE is.7mb in spotty coverage?? That's smack dab downtown, in the most tech innovating city in the USA! How this is passable is unknown, especially for $100 / month. On top of that there are other areas of the city that get similar or no coverage like 9th and Irvine. As people below point out Verizon support answer is spend an additional $250 on some fake device that MIGHT help?? Sorry Verizon your falling off your rocker, how in the world is failing of service on your companies fault followed up by a sales gimmick???? I pay $100 / month for full service not partial bit sometimes... Unbelievable what greed has done to our country, why do I say that? Because you can read in the 20+ page contract that you sign that "service interruptions can be credited for the time you lost" so some quick math that's 14C an hour... . WOW THANKS! I CAN HAVE 14 CENTS CREDITED BUT LOST WHATEVER PURPOSE I HAD FOR SERVICE??? Awesome.

Have had Sprint since 2009 and have been very happy with the service. We moved from great reception at South Van Ness Ave. at 15th St. to Valencia at 25th and we are now in a coverage hole. Sprint provided an Airave shortly after our move, and it.mostly. covers the building, but we still drop calls occasionally. Walk a block in any direction and the reception is great. Staying with Sprint and the Airave for now, but looking at other options.

Terrible service: unable to complete calls 50% of time and completed calls are very poor quality and are dropped after one minute 90% of time.

I agree with another reviewer at 17th St.that coverage dropped markedly a few weeks ago. It has always been poor in the Upper Haight and often non-existent around Stanyan and Parnassus, but coverage in Cole Valley - which had been decent before - has lately been erratic and is often terrible, not just for data but also for voice.

It's gotten worse this week of June 17. Calls are dropped 60% of the time.

T-mobile didn't used to suck so bad, now it's a f'n joke. Never received calls txts in: Haight, mission, sunset inner and outer, ccsf, downtown. I was unable to buzz people into my apt. with the newer phone intercom system because the signal was so weak. Customer service is the normal sorry we can't do anything to help you, crazy fees, no service. I'm happy to have left them and AT&T behind. I'm never signing a contract again. My advise pay full price for a iPhone and get a month to month. It's what I have now good service way cheaper.

T-Mobile coverage map shows excellent coverage in the Presidio of San Francisco. They clearly have not visited the area. Service sucks.

Connectivity is quite poor, and sometimes drops entirely. My apartment is in the 2nd floor, and reception at the ground level is no better.

I have almost no reception inside or outside my house. I was told by technical support that I was in a marginal area. I was told I could purchase a device for $250 that might help. All the maps provided by Verizon show that reception was good in my area.
