Sprint customer service sucks. Unfortunately, I get good coverage, otherwise I'd change. After reading this site, I'm a little weary of other providers for my neighborhood

Poor reception inside apartment. No reception if I have the phone in my pocket or far from the windows. Sometime I cannot get on the network at all until I leave my building.

I always start a call with 4 bars then upon dialing a number the bars disappear and no service is available or if it is it's barely audible

Dropped call city! They do not have the most reliable network. All they do is try to add customers without building tours at a rapid pace.

I don't know who these people are or what phones they are using but I have pretty good coverage in my appartment, Golden Gate Park, The beach, Cole Valley and UCSF.

People just laugh at me when I say 'sorry, I have no cell reception at home.' 'Don't you live in San Francisco?' they say. Cingular said all I had to do was upgrade my phone, but it didn't help.

Lousy coverage. Indoor signal drops all the time. I have to hang off my back deck to get reception, which sucks when it is foggy and cold.

Lucky to get 1 bar outside. Calls drop after a few seconds, if you are even able to connect.

I get all bars all over the City and have never had a dropped call. I have been with Cingular / ATT (TDMA) since 10 / 2002. I lucked into a great plan with a lot of minutes ($35 for 750 minutes). Since Cingular and ATT merged I haven't heard anything good about the combined company. I love my plan and service. I just wish that I could upgrade my phone. But if I change plans (probably to Verizon), I would never be able to switch back to the Cingular / ATT TDMA plan I'm on now. Guess I'll stay on it until they convert those towers.

T-mobile is really really bad. I wish I didn't have a contract with them. Really sad that this company takes advantage of people by not providing the service they should. I come from europe and I have been to many cities around europe. Never had these sort of reception problems. I have to hang out of my window to get reception. Then, depending on the time of the day I might not get reception at all. Also, in the city in general indoors there is almost no reception and outdoors calls drop, reception is minimal. I love t-mobile

cingular rep tells me that "honestly... your svc. is just going to get worse as Cingular is refurbishing ATT twrs. and there is no schedule for completion".

No and next-to-no reception in my apartment and around my apartment. Lots of dropped calls.

For such a densely populated area, there's practically no cell reception whatsoever. Many residents don't have a land line, so it's common to see people walking down the street searching for reception, or leaning out of windows while they talk. I don't think the problem is limited to T-Mobile, though T-Mobile generally has lousy coverage over the rest of San Francisco.

I usually get six bars reception and an ocasional static or break. I receive and send all my calls except at Tanforan Sears basement and Target Daly City

Inside the buildings I got nothing and outside i'd get 1-2 bars. I really need to find a phone service that works in the dorms so if someone wants to help out please post.

Don't go for T-Mobile if you live in San Francisco! The reception is really spotty in the city, my other friends (w / T-Mobile phones, from Los Angeles) encountered the same too. Just go to there website to view their reception map, I think it's quite accurate; most reception in the downtown area along Market street, etc. I live in the 1st floor of a two story house in Sunset, and when I'm indoor, I can only get a little bit of reception at my computer table, but it sometimes went away too! Yes, I got a great promotional plan from them last year ($40 / month, 1000 minutes, free night / wknd) but I'm so glad that my contract is going to be over by the end of June, because I'm definitely switching!

T-mobile, no doubt, has very good reception.

I do not get reception inside my house at Parkmerced (near SFSU). Reception outdoors seems to come in waves.

Extremely spotty reception in our home - worthless as a land-line replacement. Phones often signal that we have a message while not making a sound during actual call. We rarely even try to use cell service until we've gone all the way down the hill into Noe Valley or the Castro.

Going west on Pine, I lose reception around Gough until Steiner. It's been happening for years with different phones and different companies.
