Variable and Patchy reception at best. No reception for periods of 10-20 minutes at worst. (Carrier claims Excellent reception on their self-authored coverage maps)

In the street my reception is pretty good. The problem is when I am in my house... I need to be near an exterior window to get any service. And even tem I get dropped calls around 50% of the time. My roomates with AT&T get good service throughout my house

I'm on 2nd floor of apartment. So this might be factor. Also constant overcast throughout the year.

I just ditched Cingular / AT&T a few weeks ago, but felt compelled to post. I got terrible reception along 280 and in the western half of SF. I would get no coverage inside the park near the soccer fields, and maybe 1 bar at home near Geary. My calls would get dropped every few miles along 280 near Daly City and Millbrae. This really cheesed me off because I got 5 bars in the middle of the Mojave desert on the way to Vegas.

Drops my calls, calls that do go thru have horrible reception, I can't hear the other person well and they can't hear me - impossible to hold a conversation.

Calls are dropped more often than not. I almost never use my cell to make calls from this location (my home) because I fear the call will be dropped or will cut in and out.

Barely anything in the presisdio with Tmobile. Friends of mine with AT&T and Verizon have full reception. I think I can safely assume that T-Mobile is one of the worst service providers.

Jackson / Walnut intersection, San Francisco, CA 94118 Mon Jul 23, 2007

Horrible reception on Jackson between Presidio and Cherry. Can't they figure this out? It's one of the most affluent few blocks in the United States. The Speaker of the US House of Representatives, and two US senators, live only a few blocks away. Why won't they put up a tower around here?

No reception with AT&T or 1 bar which quickly fades / drops out. Same result no matter where in the house, backyard or on the street in front of the house. Was with Sprint who have sucky customer service, but at least I had good reception and could make a phone call.
