Horrible service at the Pines. Every once in a while I get a bar or two inside the apartment, but never can make a phone call from inside. On the balcony I get one bar or two if I'm lucky and conversations almost always end in a dropped call.

GREAT, I always have 7 out of 7 bars, inside my house, at school, in the gym, everywhere. And since three years ago, the new EVDO network works seamlessly across the area. I love Sprint!

Inside the condo I get 1-2 bars, if I'm seated by the window. Garage reception is 0. Outside on the street the reception is 1-2 bars. Calls drop all the time, and virtually everyone I talk to asks if I'm home, because they know how bad the signal is there. Have to go to Waterford Park to make calls, and even then coverage is no good. Opened up several issues with T-Mobile on this issue, nothing has been done about it for the past two years. Tim to move to Cingular / AT&T - all my friends that have it come over and their phones work fine.

Verizon has Placed a tower in operation on the Foothill Presbyterian Church Grounds. It went into service the end of December 2006.. This tower is planned to have Cingular / ATnT on the same pole, when Cingular get around to installing it. There is also a T-Moble tower at the same address.

Call drops every time from the 85 N to 86 N onramp, so getting reception in this area is troublesome. Can only make / receive calls from home (One Pearl Place) about 30% of the time, and calls drop frequently. I've given up on voice calls from my own apartment. Hopefully Verizon will be better.

Nearly no reception and usually got cut off. Lots of missed call. There are new housese being built around the area and I think this is the main reason. Need to build more towers.

Verizon has great reception for me around 1st and Julian area. I saw T Mobile's coverage map and it looks like service is spotty around parts of downtown. I don't know much about Cingular though. Verizon's price is higher than the rest, but, I can't afford to have no coverage (I have no wired line).

Zero to 2 reception in condo, I have to leave building for any reception at all. In car reception can be from good to zero depending where you are driving. It seems reception is better west of Senter. Spotty on 101 or 280.

although I hardly get dropped calls, my reception at my house is retarded. On average I have about 2 bars. At times it will jump to 3 and dropped down to no bars. Being that my reception is low my battery will tend to drain quickly. The good thing is I rarely have dropped calls... about 2-3 a month. Sprint has made a big improvement around my area. I used to get endless dropped calls. I would call up and complain and they would rationalize saying that "oh its the structure of the building." in response to that I asked so why do I get dropped calls outside and they had no absolute answer. On the website I checked the coverage map of my place and it said best service. I think that this is quite misleading because they forget to mention that you have to be on roam to get the best service. i've only recently found out that I would get a full bar when I placed my fone on roam. But the disadvantage of being on roam is that you dont receive your voicemails and text messages so theres really no point. I dont think its fair that they concentrate on bigger cities like Los Angeles. If you look at their coverage map they've got like over a 100 new towers while we in the south bay only got like 4. I guess they forget that a lot of the people who work in the city live in the subarbs.
