Have had Verizon since I moved here and have rarely had any problems. Used to have AT&T and it was terrible! Was also able to test out the 4G in New York while I was there on vacation. There is simply no better service here in the San Luis Obispo Area. Everyone I spoke to who has different carriers have had many issues..

Verizon is the Rolls Royce of service providers. I get great signal everywhere. I used to live in Los Osos, and it was perfect there too. Driving to Santa Barbara it is fine the whole way. I had a call drop today though, on 101 by Pismo. My contract us up and I'm changing providers because of the MONEY, so I think that very rare dropped call was a tender mercy.

I had AT&T when I moved here a year ago. They suck at the central coast. I switched to Verizon. They work great around here but they were expensive. A few months ago I switched to Straighttalk from Walmart. They are 45 bucks unlimited calls.texts and use Verizon towers. It rocks too.

I haven't been dropped in SLO. (Oddly, my bedroom is the one place I have fewer reception bars.) Traveling north and south is fine too, except one spot between SLO and King City called San Ardo. It only drops for a second if you're on the 101. There's one spot by hills too that sometimes drops. I do that route a lot. Otherwise good. The best place to go if you have problems is the main office on Mill. They're still fake and sneaky and make you wait, but can do more for you there if they mess up. Keep all receipts of any changes you make to your plan.
