AT&T has the worst reception ever in this area. Check their website and it say's you will get "best" coverage with 3G in this area. Yeah Right! Call their stupid customer service reps and they tell you to turn the phone on / off, ask if it's a hilly area, blame it on the sim card and tell you to go to the store and get a new one... basically everything except really fix the problem. One of their rep's even told me to remove the battery from my phone to reset it. The iPhone doesn't even have a removable battery. Worst cell company ever! Stick with Verizon.

Motorola E815
Along Huntington and California (Chapman Woods / S, San Marino, CA 91108 Wed Dec 06, 2006

Verizon is really good in the San Gabriel Valley as a whole but it is somewhat weak in parts of San Marino and Alhambra. However, with the right phone signal it's actually good there. I've done some testing along Huntington, California, and small side streets, and the Motorola E815 seems to hold crystal clear calls with anywhere from 2-4 signal bars throughout the area. However some other brands of phone show no service in several spots along California. Everyone I know in that area seems to stick with Cingular or T-Mobile, but with the right phone, Verizon seems to be a possible choice as well. If you give Verizon a shot in this area especially, be sure to do thorough testing during your trial period. The Motorola phones seem to pull in a stronger signal than other brands. I'd highly recommend the V325i or V3m.
