Service in nonexistent indoors and outdoors is not that much better. Seems like I've to pass McFadden on the south or 1st street going north to get reception. Anything calls I try to make within these streets are never successful. I've looked into getting a microcell tower but I'm not willing to pay $200 to get a service I'm already paying for. I've complaint about their crappy reception in my area but in the past the reps have blamed my phone. Since I know its useless to bring press the issue any further I just leave it at that, but its not the phone. Many phones have this problem in this area.

Rarely have 3G coverage, often get problems with sending and receiving MMS and SMS messages. 1 to 5 bars sporadically, lots of dropped calls. Switching to Verizon next month, I'm done with T-Mobile and their excuses. I've had them for over 6 years.

Between my son and I we had no text messages or calls that could be answered until the next day when he placed his phone on his desk by the window. ( I got mine when I was out of Atascasdero) His phone had to be situated by one inch in place or it would not have any reception. This is horrible as we may have to change providers. He is in Atascadero / San Luis Obispo going to college and I live in Orange County, Ca and love t-mobile.

I am so frustrated with AT&T's reception in Santa Ana. It seems in this day and age, this should not be such a huge problem for so many people. I experienced the same problem at my apartment in Irvine. The worse part is, AT&T's "customer service" is very sorry that I can't make or receive any calls at home, but that's the way it is. There is no offer to compensate for this lack of service. It's a huge rip off as far as I'm concerned. They should at least offer to let you out of your contract without the penalty so you can try another provider. The concern for the consumer is non-existant - just like their reception. It is all lip service in hopes that you'll give up and go away!

You get really good coverage out in this area. Other companies have 1 or 2 bars here, but I've got to say that Virgin Mobile has great reception.

I live in a big condo complex near Tustin and 17th St. in Santa Ana. I've lived here for a year and the frustration I'm experiencing due to dropped calls is making me nuts. I just don't understand how this happens in this area. It's not like I'm out in the boonies! There is not one place in my condo (including the balcony) that I can go and have a conversation without the calls dropping. I can't switch providers because my family in other parts of California and the country all have it and as you know you can talk for free. None of them seem to be having the problems I'm having.

I've been using T-Mobile for the past 6 months and it really bad in my apartment, specially when I put my handset in pocket, its totally out of coverage. I have to run towards windows or patio to avoid call drop. Lots of call drops and not more than 1 bar.

EV signal strength - 1 bar 1X signal strength - 1 to 2 bars Was hoping the cell tower at Newport and Foothill would give excellent coverage - must not be a Verizon tower. Reception is fine outside of this location.

weak to no reception. calls are usually dropped or do not come through. Occasionally will get and keep a signal, but very inconsistent.

Rarely, if ever, do I get my calls as they come in. 95% of calls are dropped. I returned the phone for a new one (same model)... ..same result!

It's horrible here. Please fix it Verizon. Your not the most reliable network. If it were true, I wouldn't be here now.

Maximum of 1 bar indoor and outdoor. Call dropped 8 out of 10 times. Customer service said it's about my phone. I got a new phone but it still suck! If you live around here DON'T buy AT&T (Cingular).

Always get strong reception since switching to Verizon

I used to be a Sprint Customer and had excellent reception in most if not all of Orange County. Switched in February of 2006 and am extremely disapointed. Service is almost nonexsistent in and around my home. I switched to get on my husbands plan to save money and now I'm stuck in a 2 year contract. I went from using about 400 min a month to about 75 min a month because I rarely get reception. My husband has to walk outside for his phone to work. I have more dropped calls and frequently have my voicemail alert come on hours after the voicemail was left because I'm in a deadzone. I live in a major metropolitan city with no large buildings or moutains that would block cell phone tower coverage and am floored at how poor Cingulars coverage is. I'd say it might be my phone that is causing such poor service but its brand new and my husband has a Motorola that does the same thing.

Sprint gets no reception or almost anywhere in North Tustin.
