We often have very little signal if any in our home or on the property. It comes and goes. I purchased an AAT micro tower for inside or home but that doesn't really work all that well and has very little coverage in the house when it does work. My impression is signal is poor through most of Hope Ranch.

I have absolutely no qualms with AT&T in Santa Barbara. Coming from Denver Metro Area, with excellent reception from towers mounted on tall buildings, I've noticed very marginal, if any difference in Santa Barbara. I had some issues with my last phone, iphone 4, but I think the improved dual antennae design has helped things immensely. I think you guys with crap reception should look at the devices you're using and consider changing to something a little better.

Drops all the time. "Outages" where signal disappears entirely an hourly appearance. Smoke Signals would be more effective. I am very frustrated about cell service. Worse, I travel, and to be standing in downtown Los Angeles and to get 1 Bar on ATT is beyond belief. Happens everywhere, and the locals have same complaint.

Poor reception (1 bar at most) inside the house, slightly better on the street or just up the street, but never more than 3 bars.

I can get 5 bars from my second level of my home, but 0-1 downstairs and out around the yard. My AT&T aircard cannot work reliably from home at all.

Generally, good coverage. Driving through SB County there are several areas where coverage drops but only momentarily. Amazingly, I am able to talk while driving thru the tunnel in Gaviota. Data transmission is even better as I can still transmit with zero bars. I moved to AT&T from Verizon despite many of my friends telling me Verizon has better coverage but I have found that not to be the case. Same amount of areas with poor reception, just different.

I have many dropped calls--nearly every call. Terrible service on an LG phone.

We used to have GREAT reception until about a year ago. At that time ATT gave up their contract with T-Mobile and ATT STOPPED their signal from the T-Mobile tower at San Marcos Rd and Via Los Santos. Now our cell phones are useless at home and around the neighborhood.

Reception in this area has been degraded since the Jesusita Fire several months ago. Talking to the techs at 611, they didn't really have a clue, so I went into the local store and they said many people from this and the San Roque area have been into complain. What they've learned is indeed a major cell tower was destroyed in the fire and they brought in a "cow" - which they explained was a portable tower on wheels. The degraded service was a result of that temp / portable unit not being as powerful (..and maybe not as tall?) as the orginal one that burned. No one at AT&T seems to know when the permanent replacmeent tower will be built or done.

I get anywhere from 0-3 bars (out of 5) in this area. Just switched over to ATT from T-Mobile. T-Mobile had great reception here with the RazR. Now I'm using the iPhone and the Sony walkman 580. Both get poor reception on average. Disappointing.
