Out of the blue over this weekend, I started having LOTS of trouble with connections and also many dropped calls. What has changed to make this happen? I now have to stand at my front door to speak on the phone. This is just ridiculous!

Verizon BB and Verizon aircard do not work. Unable to make business or conference calls without getting dropped. Everyone at work is frustrated with me and I can't work from home in the evenings or on weekends. 1 bar of reception... really? $300 for a signal booster, really? So frustrating.

Generally 3-4 bars at home with no dropped calls. Almost worth the high price. Just waiting for the iPhone to hit Verizon. Then I'll be happy.

Calls are dropped all the time! Recently I am not even able to dial out at all without walking at least a block from my house. What can we do?

Over the past month I have had calls drop almost constantly. I cannot finish a 5 min conversation without the call being lost. I love Verizon, and have had great reception all over the US (I drove coast to coast twice and never had a problem), but in this location it is INSANE. So frustrating.

Reception is spotty inside my apartment. Calls are routinely dropped. I also dropped a call while on the Santa Monica Pier. Huh??

ZERO reception in the house..if I go out to the alley or on to the sidewalk, I'll get spotty coverage. Verizon doesn't care as they seem to have a monopoly in the area. Never again.

In the course of tryiing to find the best service provider for my wireless use, I've tried ATT, Nextel and now Verizon. They all seem to work amazingly well at first and then BAMMMM, no more service. It is like they flip a switch and you lose your service. None is better than the next. I liked it better in the 1970's when I had a phone the size of a shoe box... at least it worked! Has anyone had any luck with the cell phone reception boosters?

The reception has gone from poor to none lately. Every call is a dropped call --often after just a few seconds. I can't believe a real company delivers such absolute garbage for service. Absolutely infuriating in recent weeks. Called up customer service and they tied me up for an hour before taking my complaint. They accidentally disabled my phone. It took them 30 minutes to turn my phone back on, and I missed a dinner with a friend. Thanks a lot jerks.

Have always had spotty coverage in our house. Verizon has been as good as AT&T was. My old LG4400 and my new LG8300 don't do well. One stick at best and dropped calls and moving my body and head until connected, then freezing my position. It's a bit silly, but you do what you must. But my wife's LG5200 does better and can usually get calls OK, anywhere in the house. All phones are not created equal.

We mostly use our cell phones in Santa Monica and Culver City. We are unable to use our mobile to mobile unlimited calling because we don't have reception so we have to call the house phone and use up our shared minutes. Verizon used to be fantasitic all over but they have changed. Our contract is almost up (YAY!) but now have no clue who to switch too. We had bad reception with Cingular but heard things are better with them now. Been hearing good and bad on all three (Verizon, Cingular, Tmobile). Tricky, Tricky!

Verizon sells itself on reliability of reception, as shown in its tv and billboards ads. Unfortunately this is a false sales campaign. Phone calls can rarely be completed from our home, calls are often dropped. The same can be said for quite a few other areas in Santa Monica. Verizon should be truthful in its advertising, in many cases, its reliability sucks. Why do we stick with Verizon?..mainly because other family members and friends have it and because our land line and DSL is with them. We are stuck with them.

Okay on the street, but horrible inside my house. Lots of dropped calls and poor reception. I don't know if it's my phone or the service.

I have pretty much tried all most every carrier over the last couple years - Verizon so far has been the best - AT&T doesn't work at my house - but does at the beach - Sprint you could not pay me to use - T-Mobile is very spotty.
