ATT is not in Santa Monica. No signal whatsoever even high in the sky in a high rise building. It is appalling that the service is non existant in metro Los Angeles. How can they claim they are a national cell phone service?

Coverage is none to spotty. Really pathetic and terrible. When there is coverage, the reception is poor. What a ripoff!

ZERO reception in the house..if I go out to the alley or on to the sidewalk, I'll get spotty coverage. Verizon doesn't care as they seem to have a monopoly in the area. Never again.

In the course of tryiing to find the best service provider for my wireless use, I've tried ATT, Nextel and now Verizon. They all seem to work amazingly well at first and then BAMMMM, no more service. It is like they flip a switch and you lose your service. None is better than the next. I liked it better in the 1970's when I had a phone the size of a shoe box... at least it worked! Has anyone had any luck with the cell phone reception boosters?

The reception has gone from poor to none lately. Every call is a dropped call --often after just a few seconds. I can't believe a real company delivers such absolute garbage for service. Absolutely infuriating in recent weeks. Called up customer service and they tied me up for an hour before taking my complaint. They accidentally disabled my phone. It took them 30 minutes to turn my phone back on, and I missed a dinner with a friend. Thanks a lot jerks.

Almost never more than 1 bar inside. But then when I go outside I only get about 3 bars. ATT has pretty bad coverage in the area (Although slightly better than verizon). In other cities like Malibu, Orange County there is ALWAYS 5 bars

The signal has been pretty consistent. I always have atleast 4 bars wherever I go(indoor-outdoor): Mid wilshire, brentwood, westwood, midcity, hollywood, downtown LA, Long Beach, Redondo, Santa Monica, Century city, China town. However, I have noticed some dead spots in East Los Angeles Area( 90040)... but the phone typically connects with Verizon wireless when that happends(Interestingly enough Verizon customers dont have such options-its either there network covers u or your out of luck) Ive read a lot of issues pertaining to the ATT network in here. Ive actually looked into the issue before and concluded one thing: Their network is just beyond overloaded. The company is taking in more subscribers at a faster rate than the actual physical growth (addition-upgrade of their equipment) of their network. Its not an issue of SURFACE AREA COVERAGE.Theyve placed a lot of towers to cover the surface areas of the city. In fact, I think they have more towers in the city than any other carrier. Theyre equipment just cant handle the traffic stress. Verizon aswell is facing similar issue due to a different cause: FCC is coming down hard as far as spectrum effects to the public and has forced the company to actually take some towers down. All in all, Im actually pretty contend being in the third largest, in reference to number of subscribers(not physical network size), wireless network. My network is never congested-busy, great coverage, and best data service, in reference to quality, the common cunsumer has available.

I won't be lasting the first 30 days with T-Mobile since I can't even use my phone at my home desk. I called customer service, got transfered 3 times, and couldn't even hear what the third guy was trying to say. No worries though. The signal died before I could tell him to speak up. Terrible service. Went back to the store to get the signal booster box they had told us about when we signed up, but it was only for 2 models of phones by Nokia. One of the models looked like it was from the 80's. Bye T-Mobile.

My calls are missed or dropped 80% of the time. It is quite frustrating. I rely on my voice over I.P. phone (Vonage).

Have always had spotty coverage in our house. Verizon has been as good as AT&T was. My old LG4400 and my new LG8300 don't do well. One stick at best and dropped calls and moving my body and head until connected, then freezing my position. It's a bit silly, but you do what you must. But my wife's LG5200 does better and can usually get calls OK, anywhere in the house. All phones are not created equal.
