Verizon
Awful. Great service with Verizon until November 2013. Then 40-60% dropped calls at my home... my work office! Imagine how frustrated I am trying to conduct business on this iPhone 4... Verizon says its the towers, my kids think its because its an oldish iPhone model and the tower signals are not calibrated to the older phones??? Any help on this is much appreciated... ! I am going crazy and all Verizon offers is a discount on a $200 signal booster. What crap.

PLEASE ADVISE... HELP NEEDED! I am thoroughly frustrated by my experience with T-Mobile. I have spent hours on the phone with them troubleshooting, resetting the phone, replacing the phone (when practically brand new). I am convinced that the problem is not the phone, it's the network! I have numerous dropped calls in S.M. and other areas as well. Often, I receive "not registered in network" messages when trying to make calls. I cannot access the internet at home (and other locations) unless through wi-fi. My research reveals that the CDMA networks (that Sprint and Verizon use) are superior to the GSM network used by T-Mobile. I have had ongoing conversations (all documented) with numerous supervisors at T-Mobile requesting to be released from my contract (exp 8 / 14). Many of them promise to call back and never do as I keep trying to escalate my case with them. I feel I cannot leave T-Mobile until it is agreed that I won't responsible for paying the $120 balance due on my Samsung smartphone and the $200 termination of contract fee. Why should I have to pay these fees when I have no choice but to leave T-Mobile for lack of decent service? They are not upholding their end of our contract, so why should I? I won't be able to use the phone with another carrier. Why must I continue to pay close to $100 per month for such poor service? Sprint will buyout the contract; however, it will still cost me $120 for the balance due on the phone. Any suggestions?

At best, reception is poor. Often it's non-existant. T-Mobile state that we have 'excellent' service in this area. They don't really give a hoot..

When it does work it is only analog. Drop calls are the norm. Verizon has really gone down hill. Will be leave them for ATT. Girl friends ATT phone has no trouble.

I live in Santa Monica and work in DTLA. I moved out here 2 years ago and switched from Verizon to ATT once I arrived. I've hated myself every day since. Coverage is mediocre at best in Santa Monica (unless you are indoors, then it is non-existent) and nothing short of horrendous downtown. Downtown - emails come through hours late sometimes, texts take multiple attempts to send. My iphone will have 2 bars and say 4g but will not transmit ANY data. 3 bars seems to be the cut off for being able to access data - but sometimes my phone will have 4 bars and say 4g until the moment I try to use it then it'll flip to 1 bar and say EDGE. Every once in a while download speeds are lightening quick, but far far more frequently I will have terrible slow data service at best. I eagerly await the end of the year because my contract is up and I can finally go back to Verizon.

Phone shows close to full bars, HOWEVER, it takes 3 - 7 attempts to make a phone call. Sending a text message is equally painful. Usually will get an error saying text message failed. Sprint, please fix your service in the area.

The service has deteriorated terribly over the past year or so. SPrint says no network problems or forsseable upgrades in the area. Lots of dropped calls. Voices are broken up on virtually every call. Voice mail messages to us never arrive. Airwave does not help; the Sprint server is probably overloaded by people in this area trying to bypass the tower(s). We're switching. Avoid Sprint like the plague!

For the past 4-6 months, most of my calls get dropped; voices break up; Spring sent me an Airwave that does nothing to improve the quality; their server must be jammed because half the time the phone doesn't connect to the Airwave. Sprint employees "handle" you when you call, but offer no solution, and nothing changes.

Last few weeks the reception has been disappearing out very low. Many dropped.
