Calls are constantly cut off. Sometimes I just need to repeat myself a few times.

We mostly use our cell phones in Santa Monica and Culver City. We are unable to use our mobile to mobile unlimited calling because we don't have reception so we have to call the house phone and use up our shared minutes. Verizon used to be fantasitic all over but they have changed. Our contract is almost up (YAY!) but now have no clue who to switch too. We had bad reception with Cingular but heard things are better with them now. Been hearing good and bad on all three (Verizon, Cingular, Tmobile). Tricky, Tricky!

No reception in buildings. Very limited reception on street.

Excellent VZW coverage in most of Santa Monica.

No reception at all inside 80% of my office building. I usually have to borrow some one's office with a window to make a call. Reception in my cube (which is only ten feet and an office door from a window) randomly drops from two bars to none.

never get sprint... just crushed my phone

We moved seven blocks, from Ashland and Third (near Main) to Ocean Park Blvd. just east of Lincoln -- and our Sprint service died, almost completely. Of course, it was never pristine, not like the Nextel service we switched out of at Sprint's suggestion after it bought Nextel. Spring was cheaper. We bought in. Now we're cancelling our Sprint service mid-term (Sprint admits it can't service us) and getting another carrier, pronto.

Reception has always been excellent for me. Rarely any dropouts.

Sprint PCS sucks. I have called to complain multiple times, usually they drop the call when i'm complaining! they told me if you do not get reception in your house,they cannot charge you for breaking the contract. I will switch to a GSM network as soon as the phone I want is released! Sprint has no service on the west side of l.a.

In 3 years no dropped calls (from my side anyway... )

Almost zero reception in Anacapa apartment building. I'm on T-Mobile and most visitors are without coverage as well.

4-5 bars solid with T-Mobile

Verizon sells itself on reliability of reception, as shown in its tv and billboards ads. Unfortunately this is a false sales campaign. Phone calls can rarely be completed from our home, calls are often dropped. The same can be said for quite a few other areas in Santa Monica. Verizon should be truthful in its advertising, in many cases, its reliability sucks. Why do we stick with Verizon?..mainly because other family members and friends have it and because our land line and DSL is with them. We are stuck with them.

I get great reception all around main st and in my apartment. almost always 3 bars... once in awhile the call drops, but this has become very rare.

There is no service in this area. If u drop the phone it won't work as well.

0 or 1 bar in my 2nd floor apt. Tons of dropped calls. Sucks.

My reception in Santa Monica from Montana north to San Vicente is very very poor to none.

Nearly perfect reception from my 4th floor apartment. I'm line of site to the tower at the intersection of Lincoln and the 10.

Poor! Absolutely no reception in my area. In very uncommon instances, I might get one bar of signal for a few seconds. T-Mobile is no good here.
