no drop calls because I can't get connection... ... ..when I do it is when I walk inside and outside trying to find it. Internet is worse!

One dot (bar). T-Mobile is terrible for coverage in and around Santa Rosa. Seems as though there is zero coverage (no service) in Rincon Valley.

I have had just about perfect reception until today. During three calls I had to hang up and use my land line phone. What's happening?

i live in downtown santa rosa, ca, in sonoma wine country. the AT&T reception has been steadily declining in the 11 yrs i've lived here. what's really alarming is the 1 or no bars I get out on the bike trail, or on running paths that also run through downtown. as a woman I DO NOT like not having reliable cell phone coverage when i'm out by myself getting exercise. screaming is all well and good, but not being able to reach 911... from a major tourist destination? i'm SO NOT impressed.

As a former manager in the wireless industry, I know that no company will ever offer perfect service because of the nature radio transmissions. Nevertheless, it can be frustrating trying to find the best carrier. I've tested all four majors and found that Verizon has the best overall coverage in the S.F. Bay Area. However, they put no usable signal into the ground floor of my house. Sprint and T-Mobile offer an in-building booster but don't work in the places where I hike. My solution has been less than perfect. I now use T-Mobile for my main service but keep a $10 a month Verizon prepaid flip phone to carry in case of a health emergency on the trails (I have a deadly bee sting allergy).

Can not get enough bars in my house. Have to relocate from family room to living room. Way too expensive. Really upset I had to lose my unlimited data when I added my father to the plan.

No Verizon while staying at Safari West ? And totalling frustrating commuting from Sonoma valley to Napa valley and not having Verizon on one of the big commute roads... .especially while my sister had 5 bar LTE with AT&T ?

Strong 4G LTE signal. Very usable data (20MPS+) and no issues with voice or text messaging. Big Red for the win here!

I've had a $10 tracphone for about a year and it's great, my dad switched from AT&T to a $10 tracphone and has not only had the same phone for over 3 years (even with heavy use it still keeps a charge for about a week and shows use but it still works perfect) but has had zero problems and gets great coverage pretty much everywhere. There is one small tradeoff, you must get the 1500 mins $200 online only offer off the tracphone website, you get a year to use it and if (or rather when) that time (though doubled automaticly to 3000 mins runs out you just add more and you good to go. For the record I've had virgin mobile (sprint) and net 10 and both were so-so or much worse. As for smartphones I'm looking at either Verizon prepaid or tracphone as tracphone runs on verison for smartphones and both have great rates and coverage.
