Verizon

I had AT&T before and tried to even stick it out with GSM and never got any service in the north bay, my phone would always cut out. With Verizon and my new motorola phone I rarely have problems.

Brought our excellent Cingular service from Santa Barbara, but it's zero here. We're letting our contract run out. Their merger with AT&T has not improved reception. Crazy, considering uber tech Agilent hovers over our house like the mother ship. A friend's Verizon works well here, so we'll switch asap.

Reception that used to be quite decent and very reliable and predictable has gotten terrible over the past year or so. I used to get very reliable coverage and strong reception at Medtronic on RoundBarn, with exception of front side of building towards Fountaingrove. In past 9 months - 1 year, has gotten to where it's pointless to even use my cell anywhere near that area. If the call doesn't just get dropped, no one on the other end can hear a thing I say. Same thing in various other areas of Santa Rosa: Hwy. 12 / 4th St. near Farmer's Lane used to be just fine, and now coverage completely disappears and consistently lose calls anywhere from Brush Creek / Hwy. 12 to 4th / Bryden. Same in Hoen area between Farmers / Hwy. 12 and Summerfield - used to occasionally get a bit patchy near Summerfield, but was strong everywhere else - now completely unreliable. I have found throughout the city and surrounding area that where coverage used to at least be predictable, these days you never know from one second to the next and from one block to the next if you'll lose reception. I have compared notes with coworkers and friends who have AT&T and use various phone models, and all have had the same problems with declining service area and call quality. I'm definitely planning to change providers.

Used Verizon phone at home in Wikiup and experienced several dropped calls both indoors and outdoors. Unreliable at best in area surrounding Wikiup. Very good reception in downtown Santa Rosa.

Location is supposed to be all digital. But cannot get any signal strength. Phone will not work.

You'd think, given the concentration of high R&D going on there they'd pump p the service a little

Full service all around here. Sometimes, in the valleys, it drops down to a few bars but beound that its great.
