Can't get decent reception at home. I bought this upgraded cell phone for better reception and it stinks. Why can't AT&T live up to their hype.

i had AT&T for the first few months, dropped a lot of calls. then switched to metro PCS and still got dropped calls in my area, but at least wasn't paying through the nose for it. thinking of switching to boost mobile. looking for feedback on boost... anyone? anyone?

T-Mobile probably has the best reception in Sebastopol due to a tower at Occidental and Gravenstein Hwy. Unfortunately for those who travel extensively outside of Sebastopol, T-Mobile service is spotty along 101 (Cotati Grade), Richmond Br. and spots around the bay. I wish Verizon would get their act together for Sebastopol. They have the best National coverage that I have experienced. T-Mobile customer service stinks.

Have a boost mobile phone for work. Same as a nextel. For some reason there is a Nextel tower near Canfield at Roblar rd that gives me FULL strenghth. My metro PCS has Zero service at this location. I belive most carriers will have zero there too. I belive they put in a Nextel tower because there used to be a public landfill near there and they were also planning on putting a rock quarry in. Anyone else have info on this?

Virgin Moblie has a contract with Sprint. Forget it. We get terrible to no reception in most areas. Anything North of Healdsburg on the 101 nothing. Interstate 5 north of Redding nothing. We had great reception with Verizon using my old Nokia. Reception on Burnside is very spotty and can work one minute and then the call is dropped.

Reception very spotty. Many dropped calls inside the house. Reception betteroutside, but difficult to do in the winter. On flat and, with no surrounding hills. I have no idea where the towers are located.

we used to get decent analog reception until more companies moved in with TDMA and CDMA. We live in an area without DSL except for a local provider who transmits from a tower I see from my driveway. We are high on a ridge, but reception is iffy- no specific stable (not even horse house) place on the farm in which you know you will or won't get reception. Even driving into town is iffy, and when our connection switches to analog, you still cannot call / receive calls. amazing, million dollar houses out in California, and third world countries have better cell service!
