I have been informed that the Sprint tower here in this area went down on April 30th, 2012 and that they don't even know when it will be fixed! In the meantime I haven't been able to use my phone for days! I am switching to anyone else but Sprint!

with LG optimus, it was good so far but when I upgraded to Motorola triumph, it wasn't that good like when i'm at the northridge mall for christmas shopping then i'm trying to make a phone call or texting but can't get through nothing. I can't imagine if something happens like for emergency. what's wrong with that stupid signal problems?!?!?!... WTH, I don't understand why my old LG optimus got good reception no problems but with Motorola triumph that sucks!... ..please do something about the signal problems!

Absolutely terrible reception... Calls dropped all the time from inside and outside the house. Almost as bad as AT&T which sucked here big time too!

I don't have an iPhone. I have the LG Vu from two years ago. Not the best phone. I am going to upgrade this year, but probably to an Android... and I'm not sure which carrier yet. I have my phone set for 2G / Edge access only for two reasons. One, I get double the battery life and two, I get better reception. I normally get 5 full bars on AT&T's 2G / Edge. When I stay in the same area and switch to 3G... my reception drops to 2 or 3 bars. I have had times where my phone lost signal completely during a call when I don't move the phone. It happened more often during holidays, so it could be a congestion issue. My gf has Sprint and the only reason I wouldn't switch over to that is because when we go out on vacation... it's good to have two different providers so that it increases our odds of at least one of us getting signal. If you're having problems with AT&T signals or battery life... try to switch your phone to 2G / Edge if you can. If you're just reading emails or browsing the web, there's not that much of difference in speed that I notice. Switch back to 3G when you need the speed for YouTube or Internet Radio or something like that. Biggest downside to 2G / Edge is you can't talk on the phone while browsing the web... though I don't think you can do that on Verizon's 3G anyway.

I really believe that Sprint is in all out campaign to force everyone on an old plan to a new phone / new higher monthly fee plan. Poorer reception, millions of minutes you didn't use, whatever it takes...

I never had any problems with Sprint. Then I moved two blocks away from where I used to live and WHAM! No more reception. I have NO reception in my new apartment whatsoever. The really strange thing is that the reception in surrounding areas while I'm driving have suddenly gone way downhill too. I never used to have any dropped calls. Now I have them multiple times a day. It's a nightmare. I do not have a land line and I used my cell phone for work so this is a HUGE problem. I've spoken with Sprint about this repeatedly and they give me the most ridiculous advice such as "try turning your phone off and then back on." Are you kidding me? They have also suggested I buy a new phone (so naturally I'll be locked into a new two-year contract) or purchase additional equipment from them that "should" help the problem. Really? You fail to give me good service and the solution is for me to spend even more money with you? My contract is up in July. I will obviously NOT be renewing it with them. I can't wait to get out!

What happened to the great reception? It used to be perfect. I did not know what bad reception was like. After having been to a Cingular Store where they made my change my sim card in July (ATT merger related) the reception is terrible. I have a low bar at home and the reception all over LA is bad. For my wife it's the same. I think they've simply switched us to a different network. I'll give them a few more weeks to fix whatever needs to be fixed. Then T Mobile is probably going to be my new provider.
