Only 1 dead zone, Long Canyon, but the rest of Simi Valley and surrounding areas seem to be fine.

Several dead spots in this area. I can only get reception at my home when on the second story, and only in certain rooms.

Between Simi Valley and Burbank, on the 118 and the 5, there are at least 9 drop out points. I spent $400 on an amplified signal booster for my car and service still sucks. Worse, I found out that the merger with T-Mobile will not result in AT&T users having access to the T-Mobile towers until at least a year, if not longer. I have complained many times. I'm gone as soon as I can.

Horrible service, bought a Home in Big Sky and very frustrated with AT&T. Called them several times and they say they have a tower and their map shows coverage. Am under contract so stuck with them. Please avoid AT&T at all costs, hate them.

Have had Verison for 2 years and have pretty consistant cell coverage, occational area weakness especially Long Canyon area, but I would like a better family plan cost wise. After reading all the negative comments about TMobile and At&T for my area I think I will stick with Verizon even though it cost more..at least I get the calls and can send the text pretty steadily.

When inside I rarely can make and maintain a successful call or send a text message. Often my phone indicates no service or searching. When I do notice 3 or4 bars on the phone and make a call, the reception soon drops. Outside and only on the west side of my home, I can make and usually maintain a call. When calling AT&T I have been told that their is a cell tower a reasonable distance from my home. I think they failed to notice the hill between my home and the cell tower.

Had below average reception at the house. However, bought a network extender and now reception is good. Rarely drops. Having both experience with both AT&T and Verizon, Verizon is definitely a better choice in this area.

Normally no reception. Occasional momentary, random reception. AT&T reception in this area is terrible. Their map is totally misleading and wrong. You will not have reception here.

I am amazed that in a Los Angeles suburb with hundreds of homes in our tract - we cannot get decent cell service. It's not like we're in some nowhere little town... what is up?

I am using my env2 with MetroPCS. Not bad reception. Does drop a call or two.

Comes and goes like the wind. I will get 5 bars then it will slowly drop to none and the call will be lost. My wife has Verizon with no problems.

why all of a sudden, as of noon today, my fiance and I have no recption anywhere near our home? We are in wood ranch apartments. Is it possible someone has a scrambler?

Cingular is the best ever!!

I've used Sprint for about 4 years with great reception everywhere, but a small area on the 118 around De Soto. However, their shared plans cost more than other carriers.

My contract expired in may of 2006, and ever since, I have been getting very, very poor reception, even at my house, which never happened before. Is it the phone, or is Verizon getting too big to be able to provide service for everyone. Either way, I'm out soon. Probably to Cingular or Tmobile. I should have given Verizon a "0". They really suck, and this includes the service when I need something... .

When I make a call in my apartment it drops like 3-4 times and makes it very frustrating. Other places I have better reception. Called Verizon and they told me tough cookies, that you aren't going to get reception everywhere.

Many dropped calls and no reception since August 2005. Been with Cingular since they began with good reception. I think their purchase of ATT Wirelss has degraded their service.

Switched from Verizon to Cingular- What a mistake! I can't make or receive any calls from work, and Cingular drops calls all the times. Worst service ever! Can't wait until my contract is over.
