Verizon sucks! Can't get any reception from my home. Also have a friend who lives in South Pas, by the library, and he had to cancel his service for the same issue. Tried using a network extender as well but still zilch. What is wrong with Verizon? Be warned, don't get Verizon if you live in S. Pas.

The reception used to be bad here, now it's non-existent. I have been a Verizon customer forever (since my first phone), but I guess it's time to say good bye.

Always had somewhat sketchy reception (2 bars), but could make and receive calls most of the time. After I got a new phone (G2), unable to make or receive calls 90% of the time. What gives????

ATT gives lousy reception anywhere in the Monterey hills section of SPas. OK in SPas proper. Someone told me today that Sprint was better -- but that does not seem to be the experience here. Anyway, ATT sucks. submitted 08-2009

My friends say they always get my voicemail and when a call does go through, it gets dropped constantly. I also get a 'service not available' from time to time. This is ridiculous. I'm considering switching services. I've tried with other phones with the same service provider, with no luck. SUCKS!

Initially (when we started plan), our cell phones worked both outdoors and indoors. However, this eventually deteriorated. Our cellphones can sometimes ring when a call comes in, otherwise we hear the beep notifying us that we rec'd a voicemail. When our cellphones do ring, we have to quickly run outside to receive the call, which works only *sometimes*. We have had to walk around our yard looking for stronger, more consistent signals... currently in front of our palm tree while facing northward. Neighbor reports that she gets 5 bars in her house using Sprint; need to try hers out in our house. If it works, we're switching. RECEPTION RATING: 0-1... sometimes NO RECEPTION, sometimes POOR RECEPTION (with dropped calls).

I like Verizon for the most part, and get great reception, everywhere but here. Frequently dropped calls, at times no service is available. Calls to customer service do absolutely no good at all.

Reception is very poor on El Centro west of Orange Grove. This likely is due to the hill immediately to the east of this intersection.

I get great reception all over South Pasadena with Verizon, even with other brand of phones we have in the household. We've tried other carriers, but can get reception at home (in the Arroyo) only with Verizon.

Almost every call I make or receive gets dropped. It's gotten to the point that I won't even bother answering or placing a call with this phone unless I'm near a window or outside - when the chances of dropping the call are slightly less likely. Wondering whether it's the coverage / reception or the phone / battery though. Have had the LG 5350 for while now. Maybe it's just time for a new phone. Dunno.

Always perfect reception with full bars. However the sound quality is not always perfect. After updating PRL quality got better. For PRL updates dial *228.

Reception indoors varries at times from 2 bars to 5 full bars depending on location in house. I am new to the T-Mobile Service but I will say that even with 2-3 bars the call quality is very good.

I was surprised to find two other posts regarding this location. I've been here for five years, within the past year, reception has become horrendous. Almost every call will get dropped. I've been dialing *2 constantly to have my account credited. Not sure what happened, service used to be great in this location. 1 bar inside / 2 bars outside. Switching to another carrier this weekend after having been with Sprint for eight years.

Outside my house is 2-3 bars, inside my house 0-1 bar only.

Used to recieve full reception here, don't know what happened. Now i recieve only 1 bar of signal through out my city. Except where i live i still get full signal which is in the hills.

1-2 bars, occasionally 3 bars. Lost many calls. Unlike the advertisement, not crystal clear nor static free.
