My signal cuts in and out. Sometimes I do not receive calls even though my phone is next to me. I have a 2-7 minute window to make some phone calls, but I notice that also the signal will disappear when I press Talk before a call begins to ring. (Note: I was told that Metro PCS ANDROID phones will have better signal but I don't wanna be suckered into an up sell without verification)

I get 2 bars inside the house, 3-4 bars outside. But when I make a call inside the house, the 2 bars will jump to 5 bars,.I wonder why!. Anyway, I like T-Mobile. Customer reps are courteous at all times and are there to assist you. It may not be the ideal carrier, but to me it's the best.

Disappointed with Verizon's phone selection, but haven't found another carrier with coverage as good as Verizon's here.

Cingular was a nightmare! Poor reception, and no reception in my house. They overcharged me every month, and it would take many calls to Cingular's customer service (each lasting almost one hour) to resolve. On average, I called Cingular's customer service about four times a month... for a total of about four hours! Don't fall for their great advertising like I did! I switched to T-Mobile, and everything is MUCH better. T-Mobile may not have as nice phones as Cingualr does, but that is a blessing, because you can go on the internet and buy any GSM phone you like, and it will already be unlocked! I beg you to noit get Cingular. They overchrged me over $700 one month (I had a discounted international long distance plan, and every month, it would disappear mysteriously), and when I complained for the 10th time in one-and-a-half weeks, they said they will give me "the benefit of the doubt" and only make me pay 50% of it! :( So, I had to pay about $350 when all I should have paid was around $80. They were JERKS to me on the phone, they didn't care that I was a customer for almost five years. I felt so good when I finally dropped their service, and I encourage everone to please sign up with ANY carrier aside form Cingular. By the way, keep this in mind: My sitiuation is not unique. From searching the web, I found out that many people have had the exact same experiences with Cingular, and have gotten similar results. Aviod Cingular at all costs. You will regret the day you signed up with Cingular! Their advertising and promises are FAR FAR different from what they deliver in the real world!

Excellent reception with Verizon and this Samsung phone, whether inside or outside of my apt or work building (nearby). If Verizon would just offer better phones (like the Motorola Razor), I would NEVER consider switching wireless companies. Too bad they sell based on their service capabilities and not on the phone selection (like Sprint or Cingular).

I think I figured out why I have no GSM coverage with T-Mobile here, while others with Cingular or AT&T GSM do. My phone is 1900MHz. Cingular / AT&T use 1900 as well as 850 GSM. This area must be covered by 850 but not by 1900. Tmobile does not have 850 towers, but if you happen to have a phone that supports 850, I believe it will roam and work. In general, most T-Mobile phones don't support 850 since they don't use it on their network, however, many Cingular / AT&T phones do.

I get no reception most of the time, but when I drive out of the area, get reception and come back to here, it appears to stay with 2-3 bars for a bit, then eventually loses it and never gets any reception.
This appears to be a general problem for GSM here, as I should be able to connect to either T-Mobile, Cingular or AT&T in this area.

I don't know why some people are saying the reception sucks. I get 3 bars indoors, no problems receiving and making calls or even browsing the wireless internet and downloading stuff. Maybe the merger with AT&T helped? I recently switched from Verizon to Cingular. No problems at all so far. I decided it was time to join the rest of the world and go GSM. Now I can take my phone with me to Europe and Asia.

I have full reception but I keep on getting "network busy"! It's killing me. I didn't have that problem until this week.
