The Sprint phone I'm using does not get good service. Calls drop midway a conversation with no warning. It's a bit frightening when it's your only form of communica-tion and there's no family close. When you try to use the internet you get message that the service may be down for certain service you try to reach. If you try to reach SWA you get a message that they are not accessible but if you try to reach the LA airport no problem. They seem to have choice accessability for specified sites. Was this review helpful to you?
Been with Verizon since 1994 and rarely have problems with cell coverage. Was this review helpful to you?
I use Verizon WIFI for work and a few times a week the device says it has decent reception but the web page wont load or crashes. Phone calls are decent but they do fade off and then drop. I was looking to possibly switch carriers but I don't think so now. Thanks to all who provided feedback. And thanks for a truly useful site. Was this review helpful to you?
Have found in our travels, you can get better cell reception almost anywhere in Mainland Mexico than you can in rural California. Yet, if you were to believe the AT&T coverage map, we should have great reception throughout the Southern California area. Bear Valley Springs (west of Tehachapi, for those that don't know where it is) for its moderate size community, has the worst AT&T cell phone reception. Just plain CRAPY! Even on the hillside properties with great views and altitude, the cell signal is maybe one bar (if you are lucky). So Sad!Was this review helpful to you?
No reception for t-mobile. Cannot receive texts, calls, or dial emergency numbers. Was this review helpful to you?
What I am seeing there is not a decent cell carrier any place. Maybe the FCC should get in on this charade. We deserve better. Was this review helpful to you?
Always a great signal outdoors, although sometime in diferant parts of the house the signal falls off. And the PRICE is not good. Shop around before you buy.Was this review helpful to you?
This review is for the Verizon store in Tehachapi. I was trying to purchase a pre paid plan and the store person was trying to sell a post paid. The person said the phones would cost $800. I researched and bought a phone in Bakersfield for $100(They had phones for $40 as well) and there were phones available online for as low as $20. I have been a Verizon customer for the past few years and my experience was good, but this store needs to be more honest and upright. Was this review helpful to you?
There's a cel tower toward Keene leaving Tehachapi, so AT&T signal (probably also Verizon) is great. Also good signal around Tehachapi town, except when I go up Water Canyon Rd toward the monastery. It's a hit or miss up there. Was this review helpful to you?
I have never had a problem with Verizon in Bear Valley. I do not have a Smart Phone. Was this review helpful to you?
