Absolutely zero reception inside the apt. comp-lex. No texts either! sheesh! I hear quite a few folks outside trying to make calls... ALL VERIZON customers!

Sprint, Nextel, Virgin and Boost dead zone! These phone companies all use the same carrier (Sprint). The only reason I keep my old phone is because I can force it "roam" to use Verizon. Other wise my Sprint phone is useless at home.

Very little reception. Verizon does not seem to care about this area.

The reception at my house sucks

the reception fluctuates from no reception to full bars 3g. funny thing is, it will fluctuate even when the phone is stationary. I had AT&T previously with my Nokia 95 and reception here was always full bars.

Have to stand outside to get a signal, and get the dreaded "no service" display indoors. Maybe Verizon should spend it's money on increasing service rather than advertising. Others get T-Mobile and Boost Mobile reception with no problem...

POOR TO NO RECEPTION. So poor in the residential area around and West High School, we canceled services. We could not call each other for about a 2 mile radius if any one was in a car or home. Now we have AT&T no problems. Minimum 3 bars everywhere.

Almost no reception indoor. Indicator 1X or just 1 bar..

Usually one bar, drops calls after 2-3 minutes of talking. Called Verizon and they told me how to reconnect to the towers. No improvement. It's better south of PCH.

Most of the time conversation is very choppy and gets dropped. Sometimes I can't even get a conversation out because neither me nor the person on the other end can understand a word. Even though I have a decent number of bars, reception is not very reliable. Rarely do I have a full phone call without it being choppy.

Reception only works near front of the house or outside of the house.

I get big green bars of great reception right in my apartment! I'm in sales and have to make a lot of calls from my place, so I've been suprisingly happy with Nextel's service over this last whole year. I've had Nextel for 5 years now and can say they have definitely improved every year. Only one phone I had from them was a major problem 2 years ago, but when I got the i870 everything turned up roses. I even get good reception on my trips to the east coast! There are only a few spots in LA I've found that don't get reception with Nxtl. If you live in this area and have bad reception; try a test-run with Nxtl- I think they let you try out the phone for a few days before you agree to a contract.

Good reception indoors despite living directly underneath power lines.

Reception in most of the South Bay is very good. Signal drops off along Artesia from Aviation to Hawthorne. May have been the phone though, I've had a SE W600 for a few days now and the signal seemed stronger on that same drive.

Drop calls to no signal. I have to go outside to make a phone call. AT&T had the best service before they merged with Cingular. Now I feel like one of Cingular's step children. Every time I talk to a Cingular rep about my recpetion problems, they immediately want to switch me to one of their contracts. I tell them "No Thanks". Don't switch to Cingular. They suck.

Reception is spotty. Near window, its acceptable. generally bad or no reception indoors. Other carriers are fine though.

I get full service at my house, but with the Cingular network, I am getting a lot of dropped calls (not sure if it is the network or phone itself).

I get great reception in and around Torrance. I was never able to get reception at home with Sprint. My daughter has Cingular and reception is so-so.

Little or no service inside house.
