My phone works but I usually tell people I will call them back from a land line because of poor reception. Home is the only place in Orange Co. and LA Co. that I frequent that has poor reception with Verizon. I have found the opposite to be true with At&t. That is, at home AT&T works well, but drops calls between my house and business in Long Beach.

Very poor reception. Especially in the house.

Mostly sporadic coverage in Dove Canyon. Signal seems to fluctuate wildly sometimes reaching full bars, but mostly 1-2 bars. Calls go out sometimes.

Typically the phone works well in Portola Hills. The only time it doesn't is when the weather and or solar flares cause disturbances. I have had Verizon for 5+ years and have never wanted to smash, throw or cuss at my phone and / or carrier.

I've had AT&T and Sprint and by far Verizon has been the best service reception I've had. Especially in Trabuco Canyon. I've come close to changing carriers for a better deal or plan elsewhere. But every time I do my research I hear the same horror stories of dropped calls and / or spoty service with other providers. I'll gladly pay the extra bucks for Verizon as long as I continue to get great and / or decent reception.
