No service in back of house, service only holding phone over my head in one corner of the living room or in the driveway. Traffic and extreme weather make this difficult. Talked to AT&T - they don't seem to care.

Great reception on Glenshire near the top of Hirschdale. Indoor reception is strong. Quickly drops as you travel west and enter Cambridge Estates or go near Glenshire Elementary School.

Elevation 6400 ft in Tahoe-Donner, 6500 homes, hilly and forested. People take a walk to find a signal and make a call in summer. hopeless when it is snowing. (AT&T Truckee downtown office is also hopeless, but it has a signal.) Nearby signal on I-80 and Donner Summit is ok if you drive there. Verizon neighbors and other phone models are better off. Most Nokia models have no external antenna port and we are researching for a change.

Spotty! Pretty good overall in Truckee. Frustrating because of small dead zones on Hwy89 corridor and I-80 towards Reno which results in dropped calls. Also frequently doesn't connect when making calls. Really spotty in Tahoe City.

Overall reception is fairly good in and around Truckee [main roads, downtown and at the shopping centers]. Coverage gets a bit spotty indoors up on Northwoods, but still usable. Incidentally - reasonable coverage all the way from the bay area [typical dead spots in the hills... but not really different than other carriers]
