I left AT&T after years of dropped calls and poor (or no) reception. I live on the edge of Tujunga, CA and travel the 210 Frwy daily. I have two LG VX6100 phones with later firmware. Of interest: I get better west bound 210 (La Tuna thru the 118 Freeway) reception / signal than I did with AT&T. Much fewer dropped calls, etc. East Bound, from the Angeles Crest exit into Pasadena is 'often' good but seems to be very intermittent. The 'Foothill' exit (or Berkshire E / B) is spotty. Pasadena at Lake and Hill seem fine either way but once east of Pasadena on the 210 the reception is absolutely poor on both phones. There is a background noise that seems persistent and obtrusive. Feedback is bad. I have this poor reception all the way to Sunflower (or from Sunflower). I've called the 'team' at Verizon but they could give a hoot. None of the Cellular phone companies really want to excel. They ONLY want our money. They, with due understanding, must fight those who don't want towers 'in their back yards' and government rules, etc, and the increase in DATA flow, but their advertisements are more than misleading, they are lies!
