Sprint works great in the high desert area, actually better than it works down the hill..You will lose coverage in Lucerne (Who doesn't?) and a brief cut-out on the 15 both directions as you make the final 2 miles before the summit.

Only by leaning my head against the front middle window at a particular spot can I make and receive calls at my Dad's blue-tile-roofed house on Par Lane. If I move more than 4 inches I lose the signal. There's 2 or 3 spots in the yard that work. The 2 or 3 other places I've tried in Spring Valley Lake (Victorville, CA) work OK. I've been told the tower is on the other side of Spring Valley Ridge, so the signal is somewhat blocked. People I've asked here over the last 7 years (while I've wondered which carrier to switch to) tell me Verizon works best. But reception with God through Jesus Christ is 100%!

Cingular wanted me to pay the early termination fee because I lost business with people due to the fact that I my calls were being dropped all the time. my clients literraly told me to use a land line phone or they did not want to do business. I called Cingular several times. Cingular told me that if I wanted out of my contract I would have to pay the early termination fee. I called the better business bureau, they told me if I was unhappy with them they should waive the fees. I called Cingular again and told them what the BBB said and Cingular cancelled my contract without charging the early termination fee. I have now changed my account with T-Mobile and my life is a lot better, I even get good reception in my house. I reccommed that people call Cingular ATT and throw the BBB at them and they will change their attitude and cancel you with out charging you the early termination fee.

Sprint has been good to me! I can use at home without any dropped calls. I use to have AT&T and worked excellent until "Crappy Cingular" merged with AT&T. Once it became Cingular I quickly cancelled because Cingular lowered my bars not raised the bars! But have no problems with Sprint except for when driving down the Cajon Pass right by the truck weigh station I drop calls.

it was better with AT&T but since they merged with singular it's very poor especially when you call the sanbernardino area. I merge with Cingular in april and migrate back to AT&T 2 weeks later. we are without a contract and looking for a better deal with another carrier.i would say the reception is well below average.it is very frustrating to say the least

Absolutley horrible reception almost everywhere in the high desert, only few areas like palmdale / bear valley, and spring valley lake where reception is actually good, but too little too late. Cingular sux donkey dong, they want more $$ for less minutes and wont give upgrade discount for wanting to switch for a lil better signal with new SIM cards they have, I would have to pay full price for any of their phones after being with ATT for over a year, they straight screwed all forer ATT customers and didnt bother to tell us that we were gonna be grabbin our ankles once they merged to cingular, horrific / dispicable service and reception, switching to either Verizon or sprint. *middle finger* to cingular... ... :)

Horrible reception south of Phelan rd in Johnson rd area. Reception improves as you approach Hesperia or Victorville. Frequent drops on 138 approaching Sheep Creek rd. Even in major areas with strong reception, SprintPCS will drop your call. Trying Verizon next and getting rid of Samsung phones

Dropped calls when in the house. Zero to 2 bars. I have to tilt my head slightly to get it up another bar. What's up with that? Other than that, it actually works fine.

I was tired of dropping calls inside my new home with Sprint. I've had Sprint for three years mainly because I thought it was too much of a hassle to change. Now that we can take our number with us when we change carriers, I did some research. Everyone tells me how good Verizon is so I thought I'd give them a try. Wow. Was I impressed. I had no idea cellphones could actually work this good inside my house. I told my mom how good my service was with Verizon and she switched from Cingular to Verizon and is equally impressed. Now my girlfriend, mom, dad, brothers and sister all have Verizon. We all admit how good our service is and we all talk mobile to mobile for free. It can't get any better than this. I think I've found the carrier I can stay with for life.
