Terrible reception at this location. Dropped calls, and voice fades in and out.

Average reception at BART station. Some dropped calls. Maybe Walnut Creek has crappy reception because no one wants to allow cell towers to be added. C'mon people. We're gonna have to allow some new towers if we want better reception.

I have two phones on my Sprint plan, This one in Walnut creek, and one out near wallace. The reception is so bad in both places, I can't call my other line, which is what I use the phone for most often. Switching today but no service stands out yet.

The apartments near Pleasant Hill BART gets terrible reception. It drops most calls, if I am lucky enough to have the phone ring at all. I had to get a landline due to this. My son has AT&T and his reception is slightly better, but not much.

Usually get around 4 bars, never had a dropped call. Great VZW service that I need and expect.

I'll have 3 bars on a good day. I can be near the patio and still the reception is low. It's almost a daily tradition to have at least 3-4 dropped calls a nite with my girlfriend.

AT&T has terrible reception in this area. I have to go outside to get reception and even then one bar at very best, many dropped calls... ..I think their ads are extremely misleading! Many complaints by many people in the area are ignored.

AT&T has terrible coverage in the Northgate area. Many neighbors have complained for many years, yet the company seems non-responsive. I have had AT&T in one version or another for several years, travel all over the world, and the worst reception I have is when I return home - go figure! Makes me want to switch to Verizon.

Horrid reception no matter which phone we use. Indoors is impossible. We have to go outside to answer a call.

I have Sprint for 8 years and I've never gotten great coverage inside our house. Inconsistent coverage at best. Upstairs gets 2-3 bars and downstairs gets 1-2 bars. Almost always need to go outside for better coverage.

Left Cingular years ago because of bad reception in our area. AT&T swore it was all better now. I would say its worse now than it was then. The time of day also plays a part. Near commute time and some calls end up being 'fuzzy' or distorted. My iPhone drops calls and the voice quality is infuriating. We got Razrs for the family and they do the same thing. Outside or inside, the reception is poor. Back to Sprint! Crummy phones... but at least you can talk on them!

I've used all of the carriers throughout the Bay Area and traveled nationwide. Hands down VZW is by far the best. No service is perfect but VZW has done the best for me and my cell phone is all I have. I've been without a home phone for over 8 years. If I had to rank them, 1 VZW 2 Cing 3 Sprint but they're way down the list 4 Nextel but they're fading fast 5 T-Mobile, don't rely on it too much 6 Metro, great for kids who don't care Try them all out but for voice and highspeed data, there is no comparison to Verizon Wireless.

i have grate reception up in my room almost always a solid 5 bars up in my room

I live in 3-story building. There is no connection inside, unless I come to a window. Then I might get 1-2 bars.

Last summer received 2 to 3 bar reception at home office. Since Fall, reception poor with lots of dropped calls.

We get no reception in our house. We have to go into the backyard to talk and still only1 bar! The stretch on Walnut from Ignacio to Oak Grove varies from 1 -2 bars but drops calls. Northgate Rd.and Rancho Paraiso are dismal: dropped calls, no bars, very bad. Cingular told us to get the new phones and that would help. It did not! In addition, Cingular's very limited customer service hours require at least a 10 minute wait and then you get someone who asks scripted questions but really knows NOTHING. Very frustrating after the good customer service from AT&T and the GREAT service from Cellular One.

High density, retirement community. Hard to understand why service is so poor.

ON and off reception. Not good, generally.

2 bars is the best I'll ever get. 50% of the time I get one, which is good enough if I don't walk around too much my house or away from my windows. I use an ear piece, find the best reception and leave the phone in place.

I could not place any calls unless I stood in my front lawn.
