We had Edge Wireless that was bought out by ATT. Had simple phones. Worked great. Over the last 2 years coverage has gotten worse with ATT. Was unhappy with ATT so tried Verison. We had no bars at all at our home. Fought with Verizon to get out of contract. ATT coverage map shows excellent coverage at our home. HA HA. Bad quailty, dropped calls. Bars fluxuate from 3 to none. I usually just get frustrated and call on a land line. I called tech support 2X. The first time they called back and left a message that it was all fixed. Not true. I am waiting for a call back this 2nd time on 12 / 28 / 10. As of today 12 / 27 / 10 no improvement. Very unhappy that we get locked into a contract for a service that is not usable.

MY phone works well except on Pine Mountain by the pond on Chinquapin. I use MiFI on my laptop for my internet. Service is ok, but can really bog down on Friday night and other evenings. However, it beats land line by quite a little. My bars are 3-4 on broadband, and 6 on my phone most of the time.

I should clarify my previous comment. The LG CU 515 is a great phone when it is able to get reception. I think there's something going on with cell towers or do these new phones just not receive as well?

Reception is worse than ever, I've had Cingular / AT&T for 8 years here. Motorola phone in early 2000 's was fine for basic phone calls. Went higher tech with a simple LG and almost dropped my land line because reception was reliable enough. That decreased in the last couple of years. Bought an LG CU515 in early 2008 and its worthless. Can almost never talk on phone. Text messages sit there until I get lucky enough to notice a bar or 2 and hit resend. Calls from Willits are fine but not from my home. Weird thing is I used to get very good reception here and with a less high tech phone aaargh!

Very inconsistent. About half of the time I need to hang up and dial on my landline.
