Before we moved in, I talked with every workman who came to the house and asked their cell provider. The only guy whose phone always worked was the electrician -- he had Sprint. I get 3-4 bars in my house. Sprint is not a great company, by any means. But it works at my house.

The phone does NOT work downstairs, and very poorly upstairs. I get plenty of voicemails, since my phone is constantly out of range. My Girlfrind has Nextel, which seems slightly better.

AS soon as you head south of Ventura Blvd, on Canoga it stays at 1 or 0 bars... .no reception whatsoever on my street!

T-Mobile is horrible. I have to go in my backyard to one small spot to talk on the phone. My phone is dead for the entire length of Canoga Ave. until I reach the fire station near Ventura. Then suddenly T-Mobile finds me! Now T-Mobile wants $200 to drop the contract. Outrageous! Anybody know what works on Canoga Ave four blocks south of the golf course, where I am?

20500 Ventura Blvd. / Ventura and Chalk Hill, Woodland Hills, CA 91364 Fri Jun 09, 2006

100% of all calls drop within 5 minutes, in spite of 4 bars registering on any phone. (So far, this has been the case with everyone with Verizon in the area.)

Great coverage in home. Never lost a call and almost full bars all the time. Phone is older but coverage great!

Reforma / Cass - 1 / 2 Mile From Calabash Elementary, Woodland Hills, CA 91364 Fri Mar 31, 2006

T-Mobile describes the area around my parents' house as "fair" -- meaning that occasionally you get a moment or two of reception. I sent a text message to someone at that house (who had a T-Mobile phone) on Friday night, and she received it Sunday morning.

Got rid of verizion once my son went to Calabasa High- looking for new service. I heard Sprint is my best bet- we will see..considering going back to stone age and using a pay phone if need be!

No coverage in the house at all. I have to go outside or down the street to use the cell phone. I cannot believe what a 3rd World country the US is when it comes to cell phone coverage. I had better coverage in Baghdad when I was there, and it is much better all over Europe. Both T-Mobile and my previous ATT / Cingular were equally bad. Try as I might I could not get T-Mobile voice mail to work overseas and customer service is terrible.
