I have had AT&T went to Cingular back to AT&T so over 10 years. The last 8 month my service has gone from 4 bars to 1 if I'm lucky. It was far better when it was analog. I am just wasting my money every month. AT&T is terrible in my area of Yuba City, I would like to know how it is for other parts of Yuba City.

I have been an AT&T and now Cingular customer since 1994, back since I had an old analogue Moto-brick once upon a time, and reception was a dog. Nowadays, the only areas I ever have spotty reception difficulties is in and around the town of Sutter and in the Yuba Foothills (But go figure, no issues in the Valley except around the Buttes). Otherwise overall I am satisfied (except for the price of service - but who is?, and the occassional billing error here and there) with the New Cingular service in the Yuba-Sutter area.

I've been with AT&T since 2001. I get two bars inside my apartment and things aren't too bad. I ocassionally get dropped calls. I commute to Beale AFB and there are a few dead spots on the way to work that I know I will drop a call just by passing through. I normally get reception when other people don't due to the fact that my phone uses TDMA. I landed upon this site because Cingular is going to start charging customers $5 per month if they are not on the GSM network. Cingular doesn't offer the plan that I had with AT&T, so as soon as I upgrade, I will probably be forced to sign a new contract (with terms that are worse than what I have now... and that will cost more money), hence the reason that I landed here. I just wanted to see if there was a better option in this area.

We recently moved to the area and, unfortunately, discovered that we wouldn't be able to use our phones (Treo 650s). If we're able to make a call, it usually drops out. I called Cingular and they informed me that there are currently no new towers planned for the area (West Yuba City) within the next year. We're planning to switch to Verizon or Sprint.

This is the best reception yuo can get in this area! And this is a dead zone for Verizon and Sprint, Yet Cingular / AT&T and T-Mobile have full reception!

Horrid service. Used to be AT&T. Now its Cingular. During the past year, coverage has gone from bad to worse, not just in Yuba City, but in all of the surrounding areas as well. I am not sure what they did to their system, but its almost as if they shut down all the towers off. In addition, I CONSTANTLY get dropped calls. I have to redial multiple times and lose the calls in the middle. There appears to be an almost universal 2.5 minute limit. The AT&T customer service has been horrible too. They used to have customer service out of Newfoundland. Now its based out of India. Utterly worthless. I have now moved to Sprint, and couldn't be happier. AVOID ATT AND CINGULAR!

I just switched over from Version because my company sponsors Cingular. Also roll over minutes. I wish, I new about the bad reception for Cingular before switching over. I am screwed!
