AT&T works up here. It's rare that we have issues with it. Today, the towers are down. I was told by a internet savvy friend that they are installing 4Glte in this area and so phone service will be down until sometime tomorrow. They are pricier than some of the other carriers but you get what you pay for... I'd recommend AT&T... PS... Their service is all over the Morongo Basin... Hope this helps...Was this review helpful to you?
I was at this market on 4-6-14 and got no reception at all. In fact, while driving through the towns / areas of Yucca Valley, and 29 Palms, I barely got reception anywhere. My phone was constantly beeping in and out of the "service area" with a red X through my "bar" indicator. I had to drive further up the road and get into Joshua Tree for a connection. It was a bit spotty and not super clear, but at least I could make a phone call. I'm going to be moving here soon and got on this site to figure out which service has the best reception. It's not looking too promising for any of them. So far it sounds like Verizon or AT and T might be my best bet.Was this review helpful to you?
Service is spotty at best. I have Wi-Fi with TWC it is poor Everywhere as well. Paying 200.00a mo for Crap service! Was this review helpful to you?
Iphone 4 would get 2 bars but could not keep a 3G signal. Verizon supposedly upgraded to LTE in the area so I gambled that an iphone 5 would have better reception. Wrong. Would not hold Lte or 3G dropped to 1x and phone would not rise above one bar. The first call I tried cut out a lot before the call dropped. Phone went back ($50 restocking charge). Don't gamble on Verizon in Yucca Valley. Going back to AT&TWas this review helpful to you?
Ridiculous..its almost as if $print took the towers and moved them to the richiehood of south yucca valley..(sky harbor) it went from 4 bars to lucky if it works, and even lost signal at 247 / 62 for 4 minutes... .signal fades in and out... really?... really???Was this review helpful to you?
Worst reception ever. Would love to go back to Att.Was this review helpful to you?
We recently moved into Yucca Valley... do you think that Verizon reception would be a better option? Was this review helpful to you?
I live in Yucca Valley and have to say AT&T is great everywhere. We just have standard 3G up here and top out at 4MB download / 1.1MB upload which isn't bad. I frequently travel to the Inland Empire and the Coachella Valley and have no complaints anywhere there either. There are a few areas with weak / no signal here (Stater Bros in 29 Palms is one of them) but NO carrier is perfect. Was this review helpful to you?
I usually have very good reception at home and around Yucca Valley. I have no complaints at all about reception here or when traveling around the U.S.Was this review helpful to you?
I have T-Mobile, and I live in the Sky Harbor neighborhood of Yucca Valley, right up against a large mountain. I live in a pretty large house and it's got a concrete roof, and even with that I get perfect, or near perfect, signal in every room of my house. Driving around town, I usually always have service. T-Mobile is a great company to have if you live in this area. Was this review helpful to you?
One bar and drops out a lot. However with external antenna on modem gets all 4 bars solid. Only problem now is super slow internet most of day due to usage overload of tower (per Verizon) and will be sometime before 2nd tower is put in. Not sure what to do now... ..Was this review helpful to you?
air card gets only 1 bar and drops frequently. Surprisingly both cell phones (LG Shine and Motorola Razor) Work perfectly with excellent reception. Was this review helpful to you?
I have not had service since 2:00 on April 30 2006 and I cannot imagine why I don't have service for a whole day and don't even know why I don't have service. Was this review helpful to you?
