Reception has never been very good at home, but I could make and receive calls most of the time. With my new 3G phone calls drop and cut out all the time and I can't get 3G to show up for more than a few seconds. I've done all of the updates with customer service. Their excuse is that it can be difficult if not impossible to get permits to put their towers where they want them. And suggest that I switch to a much more expensive LG phone. What a crock... after 10+ years with Verizon, I think it's time to switch carriers.

Very spotty coverage. Tower less than a mile away at 60th and Mcintyre aout two years old. still crappy coverage. When they turnned on the site, coverage improved and then went right back down. 0 bars in the house. It's like they turned the transmitter down to save electricity! Same old B-S from V-service. Run the *228. Does nothing. We keep getting promises of better services for the past 10 years. Outside forces keep us from switching.

Coverage here sucks. If I bend over to pick something off the floor, the call drops out. Sometimes I can't even make a call at all.

FINALLY, after more than a decade or the worst reception in the world, Verizon has built a tower near 80th and Kipling and we now get 3-4 bars at our house where we used to never get any. We coudn't receive or make calls for fear of dropped calls before but now we can actually take advantage of our long distance plan and make calls to our kids out of state. Wonderful at last!

I've had Verizon for several years now. Excellent coverage and service until I moved to Arvada (area code 80005). Battery is usually dead because it is constantly searching for a network signal. That new EVDO broadband network is crap too! Constantly searching for either signal... which don't exist in Arvada. Have to stand in the magic spot in my living room to keep a signal. Called Verizon tech support... they gave me a number to call which updated my roaming capability... didn't have a roaming problem to begin with! Verizon won't let you disable the EVDO network capability either so it constantly searches and kills the battery. Thinking of switching to T-Mobile.

Reception has always been horrible. Had an LG4500 now have a Motorola E815 which works better, but still can't have a useful conversation. Not sure why reception is so bad. There is a Verizon tower at 100th and Alkire. Just across Standley lake. Sure wish they would put up a tower on top of the hill.

I've had a Treo 650 since last Novemeber, 2005 and feel it is the absolutely the worst! Excessive dropped calls, signal can vary in one location from two bars, to none, and drop, without moving. My Treo 650 from Verizon is the horrible. I hope no one else makes this mistake.

Verizon has been terrible in Arvada, especially at our house and within 1 mile. It seems to be getting worse. Their reps continue to make promises and lie about improvements to no avail. Don't get this carrier in Arvada!

Not only is our reception at home terrible, we always drop calls around the 80th and Kipling area. PLUS, Verizon erroneously billed us for an extra $400 one month and did not credit our credit card for another 51 days! The best they could do was to give us a lousy $20 "sorry for the inconvenience" credit. Getting out of the contract is impossible, the phone is basically self-destructing, and even if their customer service were stellar, we don't have good coverage! What to do???? Totally stuck.

Lousy reception. Only 1, sometimes 2 bars. Cannot carry on a conversation without dropping and / or echos. Usually great reception throughout the Denver area. The Arvada area could sure use another tower.

I became a Verizon customer 20 months ago. I have never had reception at my home, 80 / Quaker. At work it is not great either 70 / Sheridan. In the past several months it keeps getting worse. Dropped calls all over the Arvada / Westminster area. The worst is west Arvada where I live and spend a lot of time. It is a waste to spend all this money and get poor service. The customer service people keep telling me to update my software and call *228. You can only do that so much. They say they are putting up a tower sometime in the next year in Arvada, but I will believe it when I see it or when I can hear calls on my phone. Even our Rep says it is getting worse. Can you hear me now -Verizon needs a lot of help.

Great reception at home throughout most of house. Can even make and receive calls in basement, which was not possible with T-Mobile. Verizon is great around most of the Denver area (and much of the state), although Arvada has several dead spots (particularly around 64th and Indiana).

I have been a Verizon customer for four years, moved here recently from Portland, Oregon where service was excellent, including most places in the Northwest (Seattle, Spokane, Boise, Salt Lake City). Since moving to Denver, the reception has deteriorated noticably. Some areas have good service, many like Arvada have poor service. Verizon, "I can't hear you now"!

Dead zone, dropped calls. Western Arvada and Westminster areull of dead zones. Even C470 between I-70 and Lucent has dead zones. Throughout the Denver metro, I get garbled audio on & off. Sounds worse than analog. Verizon has an archaic, legacy voice mail system (no auto login like Sprint) and spotty coverage. I can't believe they were voted best overall by CR!
