I commute everyday on Light Rail between Nine Mile Station and Downtown Denver. I use 3G to stream internet radio and browse the web. I get very good reception for the whole trip with only a couple of locations where the signal goes to 1x for a minute or so. I don't talk a lot but I've never dropped a call in the year I've had the Droid.

Verizon works great here if you have a LG phone. Samsung picks up nothing and Motorola is not any better. I get full service with my LG. That should solve most peoples problems. Oh, and the max number of bars you can get is 4 anyway... You must have an old phone if you get more then one. If its old, get a new one. Also, do *228 option 2 to update for any new towers or if they updated anything. Also, EV stands for 3G and 1X is voice. You cant use EV for voice.

I have had cricket service for the last 5yrs. the reception and call quality have been perfect. I have not had any dropped calls or calls with interference, I switched to cricket from verizon, and before that qwest at first because of cost. but found out later the quality and reception was totally better. I use the $60.OO plan which enables me to get unlimited everything including roaming minutes and still have had better quality service and reception than those of my friends on verizon, qwest and T-mobile. the saving of money for the montly service is a great bonus but the service I get is a great add on.

Sprint is improving quite a bit now that they have bought out over 100 Qwest tower locations to augment their own. I get great reception most places in the metro area, and rarely drop calls.

Have had AT&T TDMA for 6 years. Call quality has been rapidly decreasing lately. I switched to T-Mobile and get great reception. 5 bars on new phone and 1 bar on old phone. T-Mobile has been much better.

Very good reception, wish Sprint got the iPhone though, possibly switching to AT&T to get the iPhone when my contract expires.

I always have full bars at my house, but as soon as I get onto Smoky Hill it drops into the 2-3 bar range, and fluctauates frequently. It almost never gets below 1 bar, except at my school (Cherokee Trail HS), which is just east of Arapahoe and Smoky. However, I am lucky to still get mediocre coverage outside my school. T-Mobile is the only carrier that even gets service there! I really love T-Mobile, and I can put up with a gap every now and then.

Very few problems with Sprint in this area, reception worsens mildly as you head east.
